I must admit that I saw this and thought I could just go purchase these items myself and build my own. Then I thought that would mean I'd have to measure what size I needed and drive to the store, look for the parts and hope they were in stock at a lesser price. Then I looked online for similar parts and it just didn't make sense to do all that. This item has all the parts you need without the hassle at the same price, maybe even less. On top of that, it took 15 minutes to install and it works perfectly... And what a difference! I didn't get out a thermometer and measure the temperature, but I can definitely tell a difference. To me it feels significantly cooler than before. Definitely worth it to me. I highly recommend this.

If you own a 2019 or 2020 Ram 1500, 5th Gen, here is your answer to a poor performing AC system. There is a known fault with the blend door actuator in the dash which doesn't allow the door to completely close when using the AC in warmer months. The problem is the dealer has to yank out the whole dash to get to it and fix it. No sir.... I didn't want to lose the use of my truck for who knows how long and then end up chasing rattles for the rest of the time I owned the truck due to the dash being removed and reinstalled. This valve installs easily and does the trick. I leave it full open from November through the end of April, but by May in Texas it starts heating up. I run it halfway closed until June where I close it off completely until it cools off and I might need to run the heater or defroster. If the weather changes up really quick though, you can easily pop the hood and adjust the valve as needed. This makes about a 20-degree difference in the temp of the air coming out of the vents, right way, not 15-30 mins later. Another hack for 5th Gen owners 2019-2020 is through that cheap cabin air filter, and go with a K&N lifetime filter that you can clean, dry out, and reinstall. It hugely increases the volume of air flow coming out of your vents. You're welcome!

2021 Ram 1500 owner- had 65,000 miles and noticed A C was smelling musty - brought it in for a service and inspection - got a cleaning service done and all a sudden my air wouldn’t get as cold as it used to. The dealer said it threw a code for a door actuator which could only be fixed by removing the entire dash and costing thousands of dollars in service. Ram has a known design flaw for this and this 20 buck part I installed myself at home has made my AC COLDER THAN ITS EVER BEEN. For those who don’t want to waste thousand of dollars post warranty on their vehicle… this item was the best purchase hands down

When I first read about this cut-off valve working to improve the poor A/C performance in my RAM, I have to admit I was skeptical. For twenty bucks and some time, it seemed worth the gamble so I gave it a whirl. Did it suddenly start blowing arctic cold air? Of course not. But it was a vast improvement over what I had before, which was not much at all. Between parts and time I figure I'm out about $120 for this, but given that the dealership wants to charge two grand and keep my truck for three weeks to do the actual proper fix, I'd say this is money well spent. One note that might help someone...you'd think by the way this is sent that you should just disconnect the line at the bulkhead and plug it in there, but I found it to be very hard to reach in this configuration. I ended up cutting the line further back in the engine compartment, and splicing it in the middle. Result was the same, but I don't have to be Plastic Man to reach it.

Cannot say how amazing this product is. I've had my 2019 Ram 1500 since it was new and the AC has always been mediocre. Took it to the dealership and they said that's just how it is. Checked the refrigerant, always good. Not until installing this product did I feel how the AC should have been this whole time! So happy with this attachment. And took like 15 mins to install.

It’s a very noticeable difference for your AC. I installed this today on my 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 5.7 Hemi non-ETorque. It’s not gonna make your AC Ice Cold like other vehicles but does drop the temp quite a bit. The install was fairly easy, but the provided hose diameter is small so it takes a bit on man handling and tight grip strength to get the hose to attach to the provided ball valve and the factory hose. You will loose some coolant during install so I recommend having a pan to catch the coolant that drains. You won’t loose a lot of coolant but I went and bought more and topped off the reservoir just to be safe. Defiantly worth the $22!

works as it should installing pretty nice and simple now to test durability in a matter of time,ac went from 55 down to 40driving and 45 stand still idle

I live in the desert and I NEED my AC! I am at risk of heat stroke. I have been driving around with hardly any air flow and barely cool air coming out of my vents for a year and a half. I thought I needed my AC charged which of course, you can't do on these new Dodge trucks because Dodge, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make that impossible unless you can afford an $18,000 machine to do it. So what used to take me 5 minutes and $15.00 to do, now costs $1,000.00 (Yep, that's what I said) because I have to take it to the Dodge dealership to have it done. Uh, no! Not doing it. Not losing my truck for a week in the service bay and paying $1,000 to charge my AC. Then I came across this hack on Youtube and they said that I could find this part on Amazon. So, I thought, what the heck. I've got nothing to lose. So, yes, for 20 bucks, I fixed my AC. Turns out, it didn't need to be charged. I just needed this adapter. I needed to bypass the heat that was coming through the line to the heater core and running along side the cool air (Stupid Dodge people and you know who else, who are designing these vehicles). And of course, I needed to change my cabin filter too, so that I would have good air flow. I now have powerful and cold AC! And just a side note, I'm female and this took me all of 10 minutes, so you can do it gals!

I’m in Australia so I had to cut the heater pipe as our steering column is in the way , but it worked out well, nice cold ac

This is best $30 you will spend and your air conditioning is way too cooler. Esay to install
