Works like I hoped
Lost my delux bit holder, saw this one while shopping for a replacement. This one was so cheap I bought two, one for int he house, one in the garage. They're awesome and the magnet holds anything I've used. I'll buy more when I lose these, lol.

Fantastic! I wish I had known this little tool existed. I could have used this years ago.
Three things I want to say about this little bit holder:1) Just to be clear, this is little tool has a hole on each end. On one end there is a hole (the hole you can't see in the photo) which is a square 3/8 inch hole designed to be snapped on to a 3/8 inch socket wrench, just like you would any socket. On the other end there is a hole (the one you CAN see in the photo). That end is designed to hold those little screwdriver type bits (like torx bits, phillips, whatever) that you would typically use in an electric drill, or an electric screwdriver. Why would you want this? Well, basically it enables you to use your socket wrench like a ratcheting screwdriver in places where a typical screwdriver is too long to work. This enables you to use your socket wrench like a right angled ratcheting screwdriver.2) Notice that hole on the side of the bit holder. Many socket wrenches have a "quick release" feature that does two things. First, it holds your socket in place so it won't fall off. It would be tough to even pull it off if you tried, and you don't want the socket pulling off when you're working with it. Second, it allows you to take the socket off the wrench by pushing a button on the back of the wrench. It will literally fall off in your hand. In order for that quick release feature to be used with this item, you will need to line up that hole on the side with the little protrusion on the socket wrench. Many (most) sockets are designed so the quick release will work in any orientation, but on this one you must line up that hole with the protrusion on the wrench, and it works like a charm.3) There IS a very nice magnet in this bit holder, and it holds the bits in very securely. I tried to shake a bit off, and it didn't budge. But the magnet isn't so powerful that it's hard to pull the bit out. It's perfect.I know this information is pretty basic, but when I was looking at this bit holder I wasn't completely sure what it was for, so I thought I'd provide more details for others who might be similarly unsure. Hope it helps someone.

Good tool
Good magnet and pretty compact. It has held up to light impact driver use so far.

Must have for impact driver
Works as described but wish the magnet was stronger.

Would recommend
Feels sturdy. Good strong magnet. Pretty thick and chunky it could be an issue in very tight spaces if that's what you need. But a plus for strength if that's what you need.

Works.
Like the words of the great Todd Howard, "It just works".

GET IT!
I use my ratchet all the time, and the bit falling out of it, was getting really old. I was using double faced tape to hold it in. Well, no more need for that, this fixed all of my problems! And it looks like it will withstand the daily use of it, without a problem.

Irwin 4935071 3/8 bit holder Magnetic
As other reviewers have said the magnet is perfect and holds the bits perfectly with just the amount of force but not too much so it can be removed easily. I am glad I brought two of these they will be very handy to have in every DIY tool box. Highly recommend to buy.
