Chezmoi Collection Austin 3-piece Oversized Bedspread Coverlet Set (Queen, Sage)

I just got this today (6/23), I pulled it out of the package, stuffed it in my dryer with 2 dryer sheets, put it on the steam setting for 20min and timed dry high heat for 10min (to dry steam wet spots) and put it on our king bed. I would normally wash before use, but I was in a rush to get to bed and I wanted to try it tonight. NOW all that babble being said...This coverlet is awesome! It is HUGE! 1) It covers our bed from the very top to the floor at the foot of the bed, and it is just about 2-3 inches shy of the floor on each side! This is great news for hubby and I and our golden. When she lays on the bed and our blankets barely cover over the sides, we cannot keep covered! So that problem is more than solved and was our chief reason for buying. 2) Upon removing from the zippered bag it comes in, it did have somewhat of a new-material-item-sitting-in-its-own-dye-zipped-up-for-too-long odor to it and it felt really stiff and a tiny bit rough. I figured this would go away after washing it, but since I only had the time to stream dry it as I mentioned above, it came out feeling soft! It is a coverlet afterall, and they are not known for being super squeezey plushy and soft. So it's nice that this is not scratchy and/ or rough, and the package smell has disappeared! 3)So we have a king bed, this blanket is oversized, and my first thought when carrying it was, "uh oh...I hope this isn't too heavy on the bed." I'm pleased to report that the weight of it is deceiving indeed! It feels lightweight, yet perfectly warm. We are under just the top sheet and this coverlet and it's perfect! I feel like I will be able to be at a stable temperature throughout the summer while running fans and/or AC. Not too hot and not too cold! Overall, I am glad I took a chance on this and I even made my husband a believer because he is not the bedspread/quilt/coverlet type. At.All. Well he likes this one! So it's a winner in every aspect in my book!

This is a beautiful light weight bed spread. It is oversized and the color is true to what it shows. Love it!

SO great I'm buying another! For the first time in 15 years I do not have to fight my husband for blankets at night! AMAZING! the texture is soft, but warm. Easy to wash and the color is so perfect, matches the pictures exactly!

I’m very happy with this bedspread for the most part! The sage green is beautiful. I actually bought the king size for my queen size bed because I like a bedspread to go to the floor on all sides. The king worked perfectly. The queen size would have definitely been too short. The design is beautiful. It arrived with no wrinkles. It’s nice and soft and perfect for Summer because it’s lightweight. That’s my only qualm actually, and I wish it was heavier than it is. It’s super thin and I’ve actually gotten chilly at night with the ceiling fan on because it’s so thin, even though I also have a blanket under it. I will have to search for something heavier as the weather gets cooler, before Fall and Winter arrive. If you don’t mind that it is super thin and likely only good for Summer months, I would recommend it for style and color. If you are looking for something a little more substantial or something you can use year round, this is definitely not it.

Really love the color and size of this bedspread and pillow shams. Well made and not too heavy or hot. We ordered the california king size and there is plenty to hang on both sides of our bed. Length is good too.

I love this bedspread! It isn’t too heavy and washes really well. The color doesn’t fade even after several washes. I have actually bought this bedspread in three different colors and sizes.

I wanted to like this quilt, honestly I did. I have this quilt in white & it is gorgeous & looks a lot more expensive than what I paid for it. It being over sized is an added bonus because too many times if it just says king, then it comes up short. The length on this is fantastic, weight of it is perfect (especially for South Georgia climate). the seams are secure. It really is a wonderful quilt set. My problem is with the color. The description states blue. I was expecting a light blue, maybe even powder blue. This is seafoam green. Period. More green than blue. It is beautiful, if you want seafoam green. If you want blue, you may need to go in a different direction. I have beach theme in our bedroom. I have a painting of the ocean, shore, seaweed on the wall above my bed. I have sea turtle lamps on each side of the bed. This didn't match anything. It would have worked but I wasn't in love with it. Again, quality is top notch. Whoever named the color must have been color blind. Sadly, I am returning it & getting the same brand, just a different color.

This is the 3rd Chezmoi bedspread I've purchased and I will continue to be a loyal customer. I cannot seem to find what I'm looking for at other online retailers so Chezmoi will continue to be my go to. 1. They offer a true Queen, not the F/Q that most bedding manufacturers have defaulted to. 2. The bedspread works for those of us who choose to sleep on a higher bed, not a platform. 3. The bedspread covers my mattress perfectly giving me the minimalist look I want. 4. The lightweight fabric is easily laundered in my washing machine and I prefer that over a thick heavy bedspread/comforter. I use a down blanket underneath to provide the lofty look I like when the bed is made. The industry seems to be focused solely on platform level bedding and a F/Q default size that never works for a Queen bed. While the industry itself is disappointing, Chezmoi continues to deliver based on what people like me want and I hope they continue adding more selections. The bedding is beautiful, soft, stands up to repeated washings and always looks like I paid more while being very easy to maintain.

Love it. Warm yet light weight, easy to handle

Finally, a bedspread that is wide enough for my king sized bed! Drapes just the perfect amount over the edge to completely cover the top mattress. Nice bright white. Pattern is pretty and gives the bed a nice finish, unlike my previous bed cover which had cute pompoms along the edges, but no texture and always looked a bit like a sheet on the bed. Quality appears good, but I just put it on the bed, so only time will tell how it wears and washes. But as for now, very happy with my purchase!!

I bought this because we have 2 xl twin beds. The oversized bedspread fits! As pictured, it doesn't go right to the floor, but our bed skirt does and they compliment each other. It's not real stitching, which is fine. It's pretty light weight, and tends to do down towards the foot of the bed at night while we're sleeping but it's not a big deal. It's a nice bedspread! I would recommend it... and zero smell... (that seems very important to me as I once purchased flannelette sheets online and had to wash them 6 times before they were usable.)
