Very nice keyboard for Cubase which I bought it for. Eventually you learn the keystrokes but this helps the learning process and is a good and easy recall if you forget something. Love the backlighting which was worth the extra money.

First off: the biggest problem is that the keys are cheap. I have problems getting the left shift key to even register- I have to really press it hard until I feel a click. I can't tell if it's defective, or just a piece of crap but it means this keyboard is essentially unusable. I like that the keys are backlit, but the plastic isn't very translucent so the lit keys just look sort of splotchy and dirty. There's no doubt about it- in the dark, this is an ugly keyboard. I included pictures, but they don't accurately portray how gross and splotchy the keys look. Yeah, it's for Cubase, but I got it because I'm learning the program and the colors and look don't seem intuitive to me. I'm comparing it to products like EditorsKeys where keys like "control" are color coded, so if a tag on a key is red, it would mean to hit the red modifier key to get the result. Here, the keys are just different colors so the user doesn't have a visual clue about how modifier keys like shift and control affect the buttons pressed. Overall this is a flimsy, ugly, cheap keyboard with a high price tag. My advice is to get the greatly superior EditorsKeys version for less money, but it's not available on Amazon, which is the only reason this review gets 2 stars instead of 1.

This kbd is really high quality and nice to use.
