Shockingly good for the money (just don’t EQ for bass)
At the price, these are fantastic. Clear and crisp, GREAT for classical, spoken content, and movies, and also surprisingly comfortable: super light, not much clamping force, and you can bend the headband for the perfect fit. While I like the pads it came with, I’d recommend the G-pads, as they reduce a bit of the brightness just a hair and warm the sound just a hair.I also have the SR325X, and while I prefer those due to the stronger bass, I wouldn’t have at all been unhappy with these. And I say that as someone who also owns and loves their HiFiMan Ananda, Focal Clear, and Meze Empyrean Elites (which are arguably the polar opposite of the sr60x).Quick tip: if you want to EQ for a bit more bass, go with the sr80x: the sr60x distort pretty quickly when you EQ bass up. But if it’s just a hair, get the G-pads.

The Best Headphones No-One Will Tell You About
Let me preface this, I do not leave reviews typically. So imagine my surprise when I'm binging on youtube and find several videos telling me about how sound produced on most earbuds and headsets isn't what you necessarily think. Queue the next video showing off a pair of Grado SR60 e's, these headphones are deceptively nice. They're incredibly comfortable on my much larger than normal head (I can't wear most headphones or even generic helmets.) The padding is enough that it clamps down on the skull but not even close to cause discomfort. The build quality is cheaper than others in the Grado lineup, but this is also their budget model in comparison to what they offer. Now these headphones offer something that almost every pair of headphones chooses to shy away from, open back headphones. You can hear everything as if the music was just part of the environment. This said sound does spill out so don't use these to keep your music taste private or in an attempt to be polite in close quarters. This all said the sound produced by Grado Labs has ruined every single pair of headphones and earbuds I have ever used up to this point. It's almost as if you walked into your grandad's garage and hooked up his old stereo system. I won't go into detail but this is genuinely a religious experience if you thought you loved music before. This all said there's one vital piece to the puzzle that is NOT provided. A DAC. The audio out of the box is already superb and I was definitely happy with it, HOWEVER a DAC is the key to unlocking the true potential of these headphones. You don't need anything expensive to make these sound better, a cheap usb-c or lightning to 3.5mm audio DAC is perfectly fine to get started! Overall I cannot recommend these enough to everyone!

Awesome headphones made in the US, just not for me.
These headphones are handmade in New York by a family for many years. The build quality is ok, but these are not very expensive for what you get. The earpads are very cheap foam, I hope they make a version with actual ear cups one day. There are earpads you can get from Grado that do actually surround your ears that will fit on these headphones, I just wish they came with them. I ended up returning these as I just don’t believe the music I listen to is great for these. I have a feeling they would be very nice for classical music, but for rock and pop, they are a little lacking in the bass. I ended up going with HiFiMan HE 400se, which I very much love. Most HiFiMan products require an amp to power them, so it’s a little more of an investment, these can easily be powered by virtually anything. One thing I will say about these vs the HE 400se is that these sound more like traditional speakers vs headphones. What I mean by this is that you can feel the music more. Not so much in the sense that you feel base, but certain sounds in the music have a level of impact that can be felt by your ears which I found to be a very pleasant quality that I do miss now that I don’t have any these.

Fun and Lively style headphone
I always saw mixed reviews on these headphones. But, I can say after listening to these, I am pleasantly surprised by the sound. Maybe not the most accurate sounding headphones, but they have a fun, lively sound that is a nice alternative to a reference style can.

Good quality but range specific
Bought these on a content creator's recommendation, the top end is strong but that's what's cool about them. Solid sound stage, only real downside the default cushions feel a little weak and my ears start to hurt after extended wear. Would recommend as long as you are aware of the specifics. Not intended for noise cancellation and are open back but added this line cause the review asked about that.
