Idea Is Good; Execution Not So Much
When I first got these silicone tea balls/bags in, I was rather excited. They were brightly colored, nicely designed (gotta love that leaf on the end of the chain), and over all very cool. However, I quickly found out that the usage of these items was unfortunately disappointing. But before I get into that, some general notes on usage. The main thing that I have to say here is that the fastest way to “clean” these after taking them out of the box is to microwave a mug full of water, open the bags, drop them in, and swirl them about. If you get the water hot enough, it’ll clean AND disinfect them. Now, once you’ve actually got wet soggy tea bits in them, you’re going to need more effort than that, but this will at least make it easy for you to use straight out of the package. The other general note is on filling the bags. For some reason, my natural instinct was to try and open the end of the bag that was blocked by the big stopper on the end of the “chain”. As you can imagine, this provided quite a bit of resistance. Instead, it’s much easier to “open” the end of the bag that has the full chain on it, and just slide the chain across the top of the bag (see pictures). However, this does make it a minor bit more difficult to get the tea leaves into the bag without losing a few. But that’s nowhere near as bad as the collateral damage caused by fighting to get the bag closed back over the big stopper. I suggest a funnel to get the tea in.The tea bags do have a fairly fine mesh to work with, but the manufacturing process for implementing this mesh needs refined. The majority of the holes in the bags didn’t go all the way through and were fully blocked by a thin membrane of silicone. This is easy enough to resolve with a pin or needle, but still rather laborious to do, as there are a LOT of holes to clean out by the time you account for all four bags. You’ll want to make sure that all of the holes are clear BEFORE you try to make tea (and *obviously* before you try to fill it with tea leaves), and clean them out again to get rid of the silicone bits that you just poked out, otherwise you wind up with a floating silicone balloon on top your water, rather than a tea bag that will take on water and submerge itself.Sadly, the fine mesh of the bags is defeated by the top of the bag itself, as there are two larger holes to either side of the chain-stopper area that allow quite a bit of particulate matter to get out (see pictures), especially if your tea leaves are prone to floating or if you manage to get the bag itself upside down while steeping. Ultimately, expect to have to strain your tea after making it, which really defeats the purpose of having used these to begin with. You can see the results of my tea in the images. Note that I was using a raspberry herbal tea, and that’s why it looks kind of like KoolAid.**DISCLAIMER**I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Cute Tea Infusers
Value For Money - Cute Silicon Tea Infusers (Set of 4) Ideal for Loose Leaf Weight Loss and Herbal Tea suitable for Cups Mugs and Teapots - In 4 Vibrant Colors - Add a little happiness to your Life I got these for me and my husband. He’s starting to drink more tea and I thought these would be perfect for us. We started buying the loose leaf tea instead of the bag teas (which sometimes taste like paper). When we received these my husband thought no way are those going to work. But to his surprise the tea came out great. And he didn’t have a bunch of floating stuff in his cup. These are the perfect size for a cup of tea. They did have a little silicone smell to them but after their first wash they don’t have that silicone smell any longer.I was given this product at a discount or free for a honest, fair, and unbiased review.

Cute, washable tea infusers that hold a lot
These are some great little tea infusers. I'm a big fan of tea in all forms, and I've been getting into looseleaf teas a lot more lately. I was in the market for a bag style tea infuser that wasn't made of metal, so I was really excited to try these. They're slightly bigger than I thought they'd be, which I was happy about because I often like brew a stronger cup of tea and these will easily hold enough for me to do that. The colors are bright and vibrant, making them quite cute without being juvenile. They're super easy to wash as well. I just scrubbed them up with some warm water and gentle dish soap. The silicon is soft and pliable, and the bags are very easy to open, yet stay closed in your cup of tea due to the beaded design of the chain. The little leaf on the end of the bags is a nice touch.I think these would make excellent stocking stuffer for anyone who enjoys looseleaf tea, so I plan on buying another set to keep around for that purpose because I want to keep all the colors in the set I got for myself!I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. The helpfulness of my reviewer account is important to me because I rely on reviews to make informed purchases, just like we all do, and I review many products that I purchase at full price. I did not receive any monetary compensation, and I am not required to leave favorable reviews. I am never willing to leave unjustly inflated reviews, even when receiving a discount on a product, because I value the integrity of my reviews.
