This thing is a beast!
The CyberPower OR2200LCDRTXL2U UPS System is a beast of a UPS. Built to withstand a bolt of lightning, and heavy enough to break the average back, this UPS is a must-have for racks with critical components installed. I installed it in a rack with 4 POE switches accommodating VoIP Polycom phones, POE cameras as well as routing, firewall and gateway support. Using two CyberPower rack mounted spike protectors, I connected all of the above (leaving out non critical switches and some other non mission-critical devices) and the UPS indicates that, under current load, the UPS will power those devices for nearly an hour! Plenty of time to deal with the peripherals should the outage be longer. The UPS does much more than I need it to in terms of timed shutdown etc., but the value for me is life after power-down and spike protection. In those critical areas, although we haven't experienced an outage yet, the build quality and robust nature of the CyberPower UPS tells me that it's grenade proof (for the money) there are certainly more expensive UPS's on the market, however the 3000 watt/30 amp version is nearly twice the money. The UPS comes with a heavy duty rack mount bracket that allows you to slide the UPS in and out of the rack in order to deal with such things as battery replacement, although a 2-post rack will require a shelf in my opinion. Again, this thing is no light-weight.Keep in mind that if you want to admin remotely, you will need the CyberPower RMCARD205 UPS & ATS PDU Remote Management Card. The network ports on the rear of the UPS are for pass-thru spike protection only and do not offer network connectivity. Also keep in mind that the UPS requires a 20 amp NEMA 5-20P plug, not at all uncommon in commercial applications, but be aware that in home office applications you may need to upgrade the circuit.

My second unit; hopefully this is better than my first
I originally bought one of these back in 2014 to keep my server, router, and cable modem running for a short time during a power outage. It does do that, but I was a bit shocked by how little run-time I got out of it considering the size of the batteries. My server isn't particularly power-hungry (it's very much a mid-range unit with only a dual-core processor and just two hard drives), nor is my router or cable modem, but with the three running I've never been able to get more than about 10 minutes of runtime with all three running. Thankfully the software starts shutting my server down almost immediately on power loss so it does have a chance to shut down properly. My bigger complaint, though, is that I've had to replace the batteries twice in 5 years. The battery packs aren't particularly inexpensive, either. Lead-acid batteries tend to wear out when they're allowed to discharge, and my batteries haven't been through very many discharge/charge cycles -- we don't have that many power outages here. And when the power does go out, my server usually starts shutting down right away, so the biggest drain is never on for very long. But runtimes still seem pretty short.Incidentally, the second time I replaced the batteries I took the pack to a local vendor that sells batteries and bulbs and had them rebuild it using name-brand batteries, which was far cheaper than getting a new OEM pack. A good way to save some money, considering the frequency of necessary replacement. But ultimately the first UPS I bought in 2014 just up and died on me -- everything connected to it got to experience a very abrupt complete loss of power. I would have hoped for more than 5 years out of it, but I guess that's probably about the expected lifetime. What really disappointed me is that I've only gotten about 2 years out of a battery pack, despite pretty low use. They seem to say 3 years is expected, but my batteries were definitely worn out before that.In any case, this model seems generally better than its competitors. When my new one dies in a few years I'll probably get another of the same thing if it's still being made. I just wish that the batteries and UPS itself lasted longer.

Heavy and deep! Ensure you have space and support for it.
My power is fiicky at best and after loosing data and my place in games from brown outs I figured it was time to upgrade to a battery backup. I did a little research and after hearing the popular brands quality was slipping (erhm, APC), I looked elsewhere and found cyberpower had some decent products out there. I needed something to keep up with a gaming rig running full tilt for more than five minutes so I decided on this. Pricey yes, but it has saved me several times. I've run my 42" HDTV and 1200watt gaming system off of it for over a half hour when I reached a decent save point. My internet box has a battery backup also so no worries there. I was surprised at the weight of the system, I guess to keep cost down they used lead acid batteries. They're easy to change out with a panel in the front, no major disassemble needed. In all I'm overjoyed this system lived up to my expectations and then some. The only hiccup I came across is the power cord as it's designed for a 20amp outlet. They sell the conversion cords to a 15amp outlet here, though one can be made for a few dollars worth of materials from lowes and any high amperage power cord while you wait for the unit to arrive. That way you can custom make it for the length you need, and the plug end can chosen based on space restrictions.

This is a GREAT UPS!
I bought my Cyberpower UPS in October of 2012 - now, 6 months later, I need to say how pleased I am with the performance of this unit. I've primarily used APC in the past and considered using them again. This time, however, the feature set of this unit seemed to provide (more bang for the buck). I can say that I am not disappointed with the performance of the unit in my area where thunderstorms are frequent and power disruptions and surges are almost as frequent. In the past 30 days, this unit has saved me twice. Connected to my Panasonic Viera AND Denon Receiver as well as the cable DVR and the telephone...it has performed above and beyond my expectations. When the fans kick on, it's loud, there is no doubt about that...but the fans don't run forever and under normal circumstances it just sits there doing what it does best - saving my equipment. If there is anything I can say that might be construed as negative - it would be that I can't turn off the blue LED display screen (as far as I know) and that has a tendency to light up the room at night ... something I don't like. A wide piece of black electrical tape has remedied that issue!I do not hesitate to recommed this UPS to anyone thinking of using it for home theater protection.

Solid Performance
Purchased to support a 7 GPU (NVIDIA 3060) crypto mining rig. When all GPU's are running, it has an 8 minute runtime. The monitoring software is straightforward and easy to understand. Solid performer for the price.
