Q: Whats the difference between medium 7-8 and children 7-8?

Nothing. This costume fits a child that is wearing a size 6-8 clothing size.

Q: Will this fit a 10/12 yo?

If you get the size 10/12, I bought the 4/6 size for my three year old and it seems pretty accurate sizing

It is a one piece jumpsuit, so the shirt and pants are attached.

Agreed. Does anyone have a solution as to how I can get the hat to stay on? I bought this for a 4 year old dance student. The costume itself fit well, even a little on the baggy side. The hat does not fit at all. We have to shimmy it down just to get it on his head & then it creeps up the moment we finally get it into place. The hat literally fell completely off in a matter of minutes.
