These dvd's haven't let me down yet. I haven't had a single bad one.Now... Here is the BUT...THEY STINK!!! I don't know what these are made from but they smell bad. If you leave them out for a couple days, it gets better and/or tolerable.They still get a 5 star but BEWARE... THEY STINK!!!

After I ran into problems with Verbatim's similar disks failing repeatedly in all drives I tried, I switched to these disks that are about half the price and not one has failed in any drive I used. I am hoping they will hold up with time and read properly years from now, but at least they record properly. They DO have a strong odor! But it fades away with exposure to air over time.UPDATE OCT 10, 2020:I've used the first 50 disks and received another shipment. I believe I had maybe 2-3 failures out of 50, so not bad. This is far better than other brands I've used. It is still too early to see if the dye fails over the years and cannot read. I always make a blu-ray and DS DVD of things I save to help insure I'll have something readable in the future, and I've found my old PS3 still reads media disks the best without heat causing the dye to change and not read during a 2 hour playback. Other players usually start having read problems due to heat affect on the disk. I hope these are durable.

I've been using this product for at least 5 years now and have never had a coaster. Maybe I just been fortunate but I really believe its so much more than that. Great product, what more needs to be said.

Seven disc did not read when trying to burn.

I have a job that specifically requires 8.5GB Disks, so I ordered these last week on Monday. At no fault of the distributed, they came 2 days later than anticipated meaning I could not begin my work until the following Monday. This begins my suffering. I attempted to utilize these disks and for the first file it did not work… “a fluke” I think to myself, because of course this could not be, the disk was not 8.5GB, in fact the disk was 7.92GB. The files would not load. The pain I felt while this was occurring was immeasurable. Come Tuesday (yesterday) we managed to separate the files between 2 disks as we are elite, and started on the next project. I thought to myself, this file is somewhat smaller; perhaps I could use a disk from this “8.5GB” pack I received. I started burning my files, the story writes its self. Now I am left here with 48 plastic frisbees (some wrapped with ducked tape for flair) that are used for behavioral correction in the workplace.Not suitable for 8.5GB files as advertised, however, since they are so light weight as they lack 0.58GB making them 2 grams lighter. They are adequate projectiles and possibly good for magic tricks.

I too was hesitant to buy based on lack of brand recognition. But for the price and due to previous reviews, I decided to give them a try. Burned 10 out 50 so far. No issues whatsoever. That's better than what other competitor reviews will say. They also print very well on my Canon MX922 - but I did have to lower the contrast as they seem to print very dark in the blues/blacks. Krylon matte finish spray seem to take to them well in an effort to preserve the printed image. I'm very pleased with them and will surely recommend them to others that might need printable discs.EDIT: As I was writing the review above I was amidst a 27 DVD burning marathon. And on the 11th DVD - of course as I wrote it on the 10th - I had a failure to verify after burning. It was the only 1. Still, very please and just tonight I took the time to print art to all the DVDs and use Krylon clear matte craft spray to seal them. They all look fantastic!
