The right choice
These hooks are sharp and light in weight but extremely strong. I tried to bend a little offset with two pairs of pliers and the hook position didn’t change. I’ve caught 40 lb striped bass and jumbo bluefish with the same hook just having to replace the attached chewed leaders.

The old Daichi bait hooks had the little barb on the shank, as is illustrated in the picture. Well it seems that maybe they don't make them this way anymore because not only did the ones I receive not have them, but I can't find them anywhere. Still a great hook, but not as useful for chunk bait as before.
