I've been using this family of iGaging DROs for years. Absolute accuracy has proven to meet specs (4 mils per foot) and is good enough for the work I'm doing. No, it's not a $500 glass-scale DRO... Comments regarding the display jumping are widespread on the net but I have seen it exactly once in 6 instruments deployed over 10 years. Often the root cause is electromagnetic interference, for instance from a running the sensor cable very close to the cabling of an adjustable-speed motor drive. Note about this display: It does not have an offset feature, where you enter a fixed offset value. This is useful for a machine like a planer where the table cannot be cranked to a true zero position.

Worked great on my drill press, and for a great price

I installed one of the scales on x one on y and one on z of my mini mill. after cutting one part the x and the y scale stopped working. the dro locked up and stoped working and I was unable to turn the power off. Im not sure what the issue is. very disapointed in this product after making the brackets to install them and installing I have many hours invested. I would like to know if anyone else has this problum. please provide support on this product.

Great DRO for the price. I have a VEVOR mini lathe. Without the chip guard the holes line up perfectly with the holes on the back of the lathe. I then 3d printed a small fixture to fit around the screw head behind the carriage (white PLA+). I used super glue between this white fixture and the DRO slide to keep it in place. This allows me to completely remove the DRO with only two screws if needed. I am making small parts less than 1” in length and I’m able to hit accuracy of .001” easy. This is necessary for these mini lathes as there is no way to indicate the cross slide feed. Now it is more accurate than ever thanks to this upgrade!

Digital readout works great and is very accurate. Only downfall I have with it is that the display does not have an auto shutoff if you walk away and forget to power it off.

I have a same but different X version I purchased on eBay in 1997 , it has worked perfectly since , & just used it yesterday This version I just bought came with no brackets to mount , No Bueno <<<<<<<< sent it back waiting a nuddah one for come on weekend

Great addition to my Grizzly 20” planer. Not a quick and easy install, but can be done with some customization. Much more precise than the scale and pointer that came n the planer( which I didn’t use). Good price compared to DROs that are planer specific.
