excellent connectors, well built, good price.
Needed for fire hose we use to irrigate our fields. The price is good and the connectors work well, no leakage, well built.

Not for pools.
I purchased this to attach to a hose that we will periodically use to drain our pool. Right out of the box it looks good, feels solid, and connects easily. However, after six months, it has corroded quite a bit (see picture). As of today, it still connects to the male fitting and does its job. However, I would not expect it to last more than a year. Upon further review, ALUMINUM FITTINGS SHOULD NOT BE USED IN A POOL ENVIRONMENT, especially if you have a salt system. It will corrode and pit quickly. My mistake. Next time I will order a polypropylene (plastic) cam-lock fitting or a 316 stainless steel fitting which typically lasts much longer than cast aluminum. If you are using this for any other purpose other than a pool, you should be happy with it.

It works
Used this for a 2” gas water pump. On the intake hose. A bit of a tight fit, and I should of used a lubricant before inserting, but it worked none the less. Great product at great price. I can now close this with my hands. Where’s before I had to use a hammer on my old adapter. That’s why I had to replace the old one, the side arms finally broke off after being hammered many times. A+ product.

Nice and heavy duty
Very heavy duty the only issue was trying to get the hose over the fittings. I had to heat up the hose to make it slide on tight connection.

Great value camlocks for occasional use
These are much nicer than their $25 price suggests. Sand cast and machined with thick rubber sealing gaskets. Cams are polished and can be pinned with included clips. Long barbs give lots of room for clamps.
