Great sounds, incredible speaker.

The Dot I have, I think a 2nd gen, was always too low and hard to hear. This is a great addition. I plan to buy more for additional Echo's in the future. Bluetooth does connect well, just every couple of weeks it disconnects and can take a moment to re connect.

I was replacing a previous Vaux speaker dock for an Echo dot, which is no longer available. But this item doesn't work as I had anticipated. It will connect via bluetooth to my echo dot, but then when the speaker charge runs out (in about 3-4 hours) it will absolutely Not charge unless the dot is removed. So every time the speaker needs to be charged, I have to take the dot out, charge the speaker, replace the dot and reconnect the bluetooth. I also expected at this price point it would come with a charging cable, but that was not included. Not at all convenient to use so it is being returned.

**Update - device only supports Bluetooth so there is no audio Jack. This means the echo and speaker will not support Alexa multi-room music. If that is your intent you’ll want to consider a different device** Seems to work as advertised. Just received, so no idea how long it will last and what the battery life is, but sounds significantly better than the echo dot alone. I bought to use outside around the fire pit. Probably fine for a small office or room as well. It definitely isn’t a huge power output full sound, but for my use it works great and sounds actually better than I was anticipating. The lights are a nice bonus.

This paired very well with my Echo input. It’s made for a 2nd gen Dot but it comes with an input adapter. When fully charged you can unplug and walk around with the input still engaged. Is it like a $200 speaker? No, but for the price the sound quality is good and you have a portable Alexa device!
