R+Co Cactus Texturizing Shampoo, Natural Texture and Wave Enhancer, 6 Fl Oz

This shampoo is pricey and the bottle is pretty small, but a little goes a long way and it does what it claims. Don't expect a lot of shine or moisture, though. I have fine, thin, naturally curly hair and when I wash with this, I get fuller, thicker looking hair with lots of curls and waves (if air dried). If heat styled, hair is thicker and more manageable. However, you will likely need a detangler to comb through. Also, before using this shampoo I had tons of breakage and now barely any at all so I think this has helped to strengthen. Overall, I'm happy with this product and will purchase again when I run out.

I ordered this after reading a review of it in a magazine. It wasn't available in local stores yet, so I thought I'd give Amazon a try, instead of Neiman's. I was hoping to have it before a trip I was taking the following week, but something went wrong, and I received the wrong product with the right (wrong?) label. Amazon apologized and quickly sent out a replacement - I just didn't get it until after my trip. (Frustrating, but not the end of the world.)Anyway, once I finally received it, I excitedly jumped in the shower to give it a try. I was under the impression that I could just wash my hair, let it air dry, and have awesome, wavy texture. Um, yeah...no. I was more than a little disappointed when my hair dried the first time after using it - it looked like it always did. Kind of stringy, even.BUT! To combat this, I curled it, and that's when the magic (lol) happened. My long, fine, straight hair took the curl extremely fast, *and* held it for the next two days! Normally, curl wouldn't even last through the day on me. My hair even held the amazing scent, too (which I wasn't really sure I liked when I smelled it in the bottle, as it seemed a bit masculine; but now I'm totally addicted to it).So, the next time I washed my hair, I deep conditioned it first, then finished with the Cactus shampoo, and used a blow dryer instead of letting it air dry. I curled it again, too. This time, my hair had shine and volume, and still held the style remarkably well for 2+ days - even though it was windy and misting rain outside.As much as I hate spending this much on a small bottle of shampoo, I'm absolutely hooked. Love, love, LOVE!!!

I love using this product to make my hair a bit more grungy. I alternate this product with other cleansing shampoos so I haven't had any problems with build up. Before this product there was nothing that would give me straight, silky hair any kind of texture. I definitely think it's too expensive for what it is, but I love it.

Love this shampoo because it gives my beachy waves more body and dimension. It is very thick which makes it impossible to squeeze it through the little opening in the cap. Despite that small glitch, I love this shampoo.

My hair has become extremely fine and thin as I have aged, so I have tried a number of shampoos which promise to increase volume. This is the only one which has delivered noticeable results. The texture and the volume increase each time I shampoo my hair. Sometimes I use a different shampoo, such as when I'm away from home for a day or two, and that actually washes out some of the texture. This shampoo is somewhat pricey for me but a little goes a long way. I use less than half of what is usually needed with other shampoos. I just purchased my second bottle; the first lasted about one year. There is little or no scent, in my opinion.

I love this product. I purchased it because sometimes my hair can feel "too silky" and therefore won't hold a curl or style the way I want it to. This shampoo gives it the "grit" I need to be able to control it. Sometimes I use a conditioner first so that its a bit smoother than just the shampoo alone but either way it works great!

I find it a bit too heavy for my fine, wavy, thin hair. I can only wear my hair with this shampoo for one day, have to rewash with regular shampoo next day. I find the effect interesting though and would recommend to give it a try.

I have pretty flat and straight hair that will just like to lay on my head with no style.. sometimes I go without conditioning to prevent extra softness so it doesn't just lay there without doing anything. I like to style my hair to the side and have it stay there. I used to use holding creams etc and products, but I don't really like the feeling of having a product in my hair anymore. In all honesty, this product seems to hard some structure and strength to my hair and fullness (maybe that's the word?) but anyways, after using this, my hair will stay to the side, and it does feel fuller and more robust on my head. feels sticky when applying it in the shower, but after you dry it, you can tell its not as soft and dead looking like other products. great find. the scalp does feel a little dry after using... but not a terrible concern. maybe something the developers that think about
