ProCom Vent-Free Universal Ventless Firebox Insert, Model# PC32VFC

This zero clearance fire box is able to be touched on all sides even when a fire has been burning for quite a while.

Box easy to frame in. Stuffed a 34,000 btu log set in. Not alot of play for connection, could've had more if used proper log set. Did not come with clear instructions for mounting fan location but could figure out after eye balling for a little bit. Costs are same with Amazon and Northern Tool, although shipping was half the cost with Amazon. This item regardless is shipped from Procom. After installed, I cranked it up and got it operating, checking for temperatures surrounding insert. Frame was cool, floor tile not effected. heat was rising although not effecting above and backwards area where future electronics will be placed. It's working out as planned although not enough room inside for planned gas shutoff valve. That had to be placed outside of insert. I got a good deal on refurbished log set at 34,000 btu and wanted to take advantage of that, dimensions fit although cramped inside insert. I don't see problems at all and can see that insert doing it's job for a long time. Hopefully log set lasts awhile. For an insert and prices on inserts would highly recommend this one.

Perfect addition to a modern style house. Looks beautiful paired with some fire logs we also bought on Amazon and some craftsmanship from my husband and his crew. If I could give this a 100 stars I would. We have put in a hundred or more boxes similar to this and this one is larger and better priced.

Never buy ProCom product. ProCom Heating sells thru reps (Factory Buys Direct in my case) and doesn't stand behind these sales. ProCom 36 vent free firebox arrived damaged (cheap packaging), and was assembled incorrectly at the factory (one panel in the firebox was a different color). Factory Buys Direct said I had to deal with ProCom. ProCom said they could not supply replacement parts, because it is illegal for this product to be sold into CA. Neither offered a solution. ProCom had its facts wrong as it is legal to install this product in an outdoor patio in CA, which we did under a city building permit. (It is illegal in CA to install inside a house) Fan is noisy. Overall, the product, manufacturer, and representative are all substandard.

Procom has a great lineup of inserts. We love this one and have it installed. Now we are shopping for the perfect log set.

This firebox arrived in a timely manner and looks great. It was easy to install, the measurements were accurate. The quality is great. It was much less expensive than other fireboxes we found locally, we are very happy with the purchase.
