Like a thumb drive on steroids!
I bought this SSD 500GB HD because I had two portable mechanical hard drives crash with-in a few weeks of each other. I read reviews from tech sites and this is the way to go if you have to have a portable drive. The other advice I found while reading the reviews is by as big of one as you can afford at the time of purchase.This drive is a thumb drive on steroids so you do not have to worry to much about the head getting jarred like a traditional hard drive.With prices coming down I do not know why mechanical hard drives are still being made.
