Not good enough

Bought this in July for the Optiplex 3010 even thought it used the Realtek Chipset for onboard but good thing i am still using the PCIe card for the 3010 because i can use any driver instead of using Dell Drivers also bought this for the Optiplex 990 because it uses the Intel Ethernet and I prefer Realtek more it worked on Windows 7/8.1 with no driver issues used a 2014 driver for the 3010 and a 2013 driver for the 990 still get good mbps download and upload would buy this item again for any other pc As of 11/2/2025 I moved my from the 3010 to the Inspiron 570 i’m using the onboard Ethernet again on the 3010

Nice NIC, in my Rack File Server. Easy installation.

The ethernet/wireless card in an old Windows 7 computer stopped working. I replace it with this one. While this new one is Ethernet only, it worked great. Plug and play, no software or drivers needed and the internet speed seems faster than the original card I replaced.

Seems to work well. Installed to replace an old card in a server. Connectivity is good. It’s nice that it comes with different size mounts for different hardware applications. Only time will tell!

I'm running ClearOS v5 as a gateway on an antique HP desktop computer. The two existing add-on network cards fit into PCI slots. One card for each LAN. My aim is to upgrade to ClearOS v7 on a new HP 690-0020 Gaming computer. I removed the fancy-shmancy video card and ordered two of these network cards, since the NICs in the existing gateway could not be used. These are PCIe 1x. The new HP has one open PCIe 1x slot and one PCIe 16x slot which became available when I removed the unneeded video card. Somehow I thought these cards would work in any PCIe slot, but that is not the case. The new NIC that I put in the PCIe 1x slot works fine (as far as I could tell, since I had not yet begun the ClearOS installation). However the new NIC that I put in the PCIe 16x slot resulted in a three-beep POST alarm. The offender was removed, and the POST passed quietly. With a single added NIC (along with the onboard network interface), the installation software appears to accept the hardware configuration and is ready to proceed. I like these NICs and will keep both of them in my General Stockpile of Parts. They came with no instructions and no driver software (neither was expected). Each came with a half-height bracket (not needed). Visual inspection of the cards shows signs of quality manufacture (clean solder points, crisp circuit board printing and solid multi-level pc board integration).
