We have a small Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher mix. She is a great dog, but very stubborn. Especially when outside, off leash. She wouldn't come whem called and would bark at people walking by. It was very irrirating, I'd wish I had a shock collar on her so I could zap the crap out of her,for being so annoying. I didn't know, you could get shock collars that also beep and vibrate. That's what this collar does. As soon as I put the collar on my dog, which fit perfect around her small neck, her behavior improved. I gave her a command to come, that she ignored. First I tried the beep mode. That got her attention, wondering what it was. I told her to come again, she ignored again. I went to vibrate mode, and that made her come right to me without hesitation. It was great. We have had the collar for a couple weeks now, and we still having needed to use shock mode. I tested the shock on my wrist to see has bad it is. It feels like a needle poke, it's not bad. The collar seems to last about a week on a charge, it has a red flashing light to let you know it's functioning. The beep mode comes in handy to locate collar if dog gets it off somehow. This is a great product and we are very pleased.

Excellent product! My seven year old Morkie, has over time, developed aggressive behavior towards people whenever they attempt to leave our home. Excessive barking and nipping. I attached the collar and selected the vibration mode. It took two times of applying the vibration on two different occasions. He no longer acts aggressively towards people. As soon as the collar goes on it's as if someone flipped a switch. He is docile and compliant not even a bark. Amazing, totally transformed my dog. The collar and remote are rechargeable. No batteries to worry about. It also comes with a mechanical clicker that can used simultaneously with the collar so over time your dog can be conditioned to respond to the clicker only. Two collars are included. The small was to small for my eight lb. dog and large was to big even adjusted to its smallest size. I simply modified the large collar to accommodate my dogs neck size, no big deal. I found the product to be excellent overall and a great value compared to other similar products. More features and extra components with no batteries to replace at a lower price point. Highly recommend this product. Well done!

I can't possibly give this product a good review, as it has completely stopped working after a very short time. I bought this a while back but then fenced in my yard so I didn't need it right away. I recently tried to put it on a different dog. My dog was chasing after cars. About the second or third time I had the collar on her, I pushed the shock button and she immediately backed away from a car. But that was the only time I actually saw the collar work. Every other time I pushed the button I didn't get any response from her. I also had to constantly charge the batteries. There's a light on the plug that is supposed to change color when the batteries are charged, but it does not do that. So I set a timer to make sure I didn't charge them more than four hours. I'd say I charged them maybe five times, when the collar stopped working altogether. The battery either won't take a charge or won't hold one. The remote lights up but the light on the collar won't come on. Just based on the battery defect, I would not recommend this item.

This is a great product! We have a little yorkie that has been impossible to train, and barks at EVERYTHING!! This has been great with training! There are different modes; sound (which is a beeping), vibrate and shock. This collar has many different settings increase or decrease the intensity of the vibration or shock, which I love, so you know you aren't hurting them. I never agreed with shock collars before, as I thought they were inhumane.....but with the adjustable settings I feel much better about it. I only had to use the vibrate after the warning beep one time....and she learned that she didn't like that!! Now all I have to do is sound the beep and she quits whatever she is doing. She is much more behaved with the collar on then she is when we take it off of her. Even if she doesn't have it on, if she sees the remote in my hand, she is well behaved. The collar and remote both charge very quickly. Set comes with two sizes of collars, one for a small dog and one for a big dog. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. I wish I would have purchased this a lot sooner...I think it would have saved us a lot of frustration!!

I would NOT GET THIS AGAIN, and I would NOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. Pros: > Great training collar with increasing levels of attention - beep, buzz, shock (details below). > Super battery life! (I've never tested to exhaustion, but collars easily go 3-4 days@~16 hrs/day. I charge the remotes once about every week or 2.) Cons: > Remotes are atrocious! They are the reason I would NOT RECOMMEND these devices. (Details below.) > Collars are very difficult to adjust (and/or change collar sizes). The clips on the receiver unit are a tad too tight to fit the straps. Changing or adjustment requires patience, finger strength and pry tools. From the remote, you can command 4 functions: 1. Blink light: Totally worthless. Too dim except to see remote is working when you are holding the receiver in your hand. 2. Beep: This distracts them from whatever they're doing and gets their attention most of the time. Now that they're trained, I rarely have to go beyond this function. 3. Vibrate (buzz): Adjustable strength (actually, buzz frequency), 0-100. This is very effective and generally more reliable than the shock. It will depend on your dog, but I find any setting from about 50 or up is equally effective. Now that the beep is effective, I only use the buzz when something really gets their attention. 4. Shock: Adjustable strength, 0-100. This is a last resort, but it can be very effective. I found a setting around 60-70 to be good for my dachshunds. It is somewhat unreliable due to the trouble adjusting the collar. I don't want it too tight, but too loose means the shock is negligible. Getting it right is crucial but extremely difficult. (And with growing dogs...) Now to the issues with the remotes... The "button only" design is the root of the problem. Pressing most buttons change something if the remote is awake. The only feedback is on the display. If the remote is asleep, you MUST press the "Mode" button to wake it. If it's awake, pressing the Mode will cycle through the collar functions listed above. This means you almost always have to look at the display before signaling the dog. This makes signaling quickly almost impossible. With 2 dogs that need guidance, the dual collar control seemed great. Glad we got 2 individual units as we quickly went back to separate controllers for each dog. It was too difficult to make sure you had the right collar selected (again, have to look at the display) and then signal. (And with on remote/collar, the 1-2 switch becomes a liability as if you accidentally hit it, the remote is suddenly controlling nothing.) A physical switch would make the single remote feasible. Another problem with the buttons is accidental presses. We use treats, with collars only as a backup, to keep the kids in line. One walk in the pasture, I was bending down to give a treat to the puppy. She came but was whining and peeing. The second time it happened, I realized that I was squeezing the remote against my body when I bent. The Mode had cycled from Beep to Shock, and I was hitting the signal and shocking her. (The draw of the treats is very strong in her!) Based on my experience, a physical on/off switch would be desirable, but in lieu of that, using a button other than the Mode button to wake would make this a more usable device. (It would be worth far more to ditch the built in flashlight and use that button as the wake.)

I bought this for my stubborn boy chihuahua puppy. He is now a year old and weighs 10 lbs. I first tried the tone and he could hear it, but it would not correct his behavior. I then went to vibrate set on 90. He does not like the vibrate and this setting works well. I only had to shock him 3 times because he was so focused on chasing the goats next door that he ran through the vibrate. I had the setting on 20 and he really didn’t like it... Its quick and easy to go from vibrate to shock in a hurry if needed. The battery charge last a long time. I just charge it periodically so it has never died on me. When he is not wearing the collar I always turn it off. The remote has an auto off if not used in a certain amount of time. At this point even if the collar is turned off and I put it on him, it makes him a different dog and more obedient because he knows a vibrate is coming if he fails to listen.

This device stopped me from giving my dog away! We had our Pittbull Roxy since she was 10 weeks old. Now that she is a year old her energy is a lot to manage. She grew, chewed up stuff, and did the things things that all puppies do but the jumping was a deal breaker. Discouraged from the thought of not being able to afford professional training or committing the time needed to train Roxy on my own, I felt so overwhelmed that I actually begin interviewing people to find her a new home. There were good prospects. In fact, one person I interviewed mentioned dog shock collars. While I'd tried the choker collars in an attempt to control the jumping I had never heard of the dog shock collars before. I was a bit skeptical about it. As the prospective new owner explained that she would use the dog shock collar to train Roxy to become a companion dog for people with disabilities, I began thinking that it might also work to stop Roxy from jumping. I logged onto Amazon and ordered one. After charging the devices, I just put the collar on Roxy and tried the sound option first. Roxy was confused and stopped jumping to investigate the sound. She looked all around the house to find it. I thought that was so funny. About a minute later she confused my laughter as an invitation to jump so I tried the vibration and she immediately stopped. In fact, she went right to "place" as seen in the picture. You'll also see I have the choker collar on her in the picture which I've since then removed. No need for both. I have not tried the shocker option because she responds very well to the vibration. I'm so pleased with this product! While the process of discovering the dog shocker collar almost caused me to lose my dog, I'm glad that I found out about it when I did. Now my dog behaves the way I've been waiting for and it did not cost me an arm and a leg in training fees or a whole bunch of hours from my days. Great product! I highly recommend it.
