No sabía que cuando un monitor no estaba encendido, el ordenador deja de dar señal y no podía controlarlo por AnyDesk/Teamviewer. Preguntando a ChatGPT me recomendó usar un HDMI dummy, y ha sido una idea magnífica. Ya puedo conectarme a mi Ubuntu usando la interfaz gráfica.En mi caso tengo mini-pc con dos salidas HDMI, un HDMI va a la tele y el otro HDMI tiene este dispositivo. Así, cuando la tele está desconectada puedo conectarme por AnyDesk/Teamviewer, y cuando la tele está conectada simplemente la veo en la Televisión sin tener que hacer ningún cambio en el adaptador gráfico de Ubuntu.Merece la pena si estás en un caso como el mío.

J'aurai bien aimé découvrir ce produit plus tôt.... Parfait pour un serveur headless avec TeamViewer qui reconnaît immédiatement les paramètres d'affichage. Très petit et discret comme on peut voir sur la photo

Works perfect for use with MacBook Pro and iPad Pro using sidecar.
Cut a long story short, I wanted to be able to use my iPad Pro as the main display for my MacBook Pro whilst in clamshell mode. I’m using it live (in a band context) and wanted the MacBook Pro safe in a case, but still be able to use it as a computer.This device allows you to trick the MacBook Pro into thinking it has a display connected up to it, which enables you to use the MacBook Pro in clamshell mode.I can then use sidecar on my iPad and set that as my main display! Works perfectly!The reason I’m using sidecar over something like Duet Display or Luna Display, is because sidecar is designed by Apple to work with Apple products. So it will always work a lot better than using a 3rd party product.

Genutzt wird der Dummy für einen alten Gaming Rechner, den ich als Headless Device für Remote Streaming am Steck Deck nutze.Da man sich am Rechner per RDP zwar ohne Bildschirm anmelden kann, das Steam Deck dann aber auf dem Login Screen landet und sich nicht einloggen kann, musste eine TightVNC Installation her, die aber kein Bild ohne Bildschirm liefert.Lange habe ich einen virtuellen Display Treiber genutzt, aber jetzt nach einer Neuinstallation keine Lust mehr darauf gehabt. Die 5 Euro sind es wert. Windows installieren, TightVNC drauf, Monitor ab, Dummy dran, alles gut.
