Would this work on preemie 5lb ‘ 11oz?

It should, the Velcro works super great and can be adjusted. Never buy ones that don’t have Velcro they just fall right off!

Do these help keep baby hands warm?

Not for outside but I used these for my son while he sleeps and we sleep with the AC at 70-72 and his hands stay warm with these.

Has anyone has issues with these shrinking? I washed them once on cold and now they look half the size they started.

Yes they were huge when we got them, then we washed and dried them and they shrunk so much that they’re perfect now lol.
