Great read with lots of good recipes
The book is an easy read with a lot of great information. I wasn’t sure about the recipes when I started, but they turned out great. Only complaint is some of the ingredients were difficult to find. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their overall health and diet.

Very disappointed in this book
Very disappointed in this book. The design is cumbersome and heavy. It's almost impossible to keep the book open, the front and back covers are so stiff. I cant even open it well enough to make a copy of a recipe. The recipes are good as is the information. My pet peeve: I really don't need to see so many pictures of the author sprinkled throughout the book. The author cutting veggies, the author naval-gazing, the author exfoliating her legs, the author chatting with a friend, and more. Not to mention the front cover and back flap. Really? Cal O.

The Kindle download is awful. Pictures, diagrams, font are too light and does not expand on my kindle. I feel like I am missing the essence of the book. The information is good.

great information, easy to follow

unrealistic
This is not Lee's best book. (I've got them all and really enjoy all the others). The beginning sections are really helpful and informative, with lots if science and facts about the role your gut plays in your immune system and general wellbeing. However, I do not think that Lee's gut healing protocol is realistic or ideal. Granted, this is what worked for her. But it was not what I did to heal my gut and it is not what my nutritional therapist advised. A liquid diet is not for me and it wasn't for me when my gut was in a bad state either. What I did was more in line with the final 2 phases of Lee's protocol (ie skipping the liquid diet and focussing on eliminating problem foods and eating whole, unprocessed food). And this is the approach I still believe in. Also the recipies aren't that helpful either and most of them can be found on her website or in Eat Yourself Beautiful. Personally I think Eat Yourself Beautiful is a much better book, so save your money and only buy that one.

Best gut healing recipes out there!
This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to restore their gut health! The recipes are super nourishing and are not overly complicated to make.
