Macro Arm Light

Quite bright and very versatile. Some people have said that the lights are too short if using a longer lens but the key issue is that these are attached the camera via a COLD shoe attachment. As such, there is no electronic connection from camera to lights and these can be mounted elsewhere, say on a gorilla pod nearer the subject to be lit. With such adaptation these represent an extremely economical purchase

looks good ,and you get spare battery easy to use

They are very good for shorter lenses, they bend into the petal shape lens hoods of short to mid zooms The light is fine for macro and doesnt give too much reflection, they can be bent and contoured, it would have been nice to have a little more length to the arms but sufficient for primes and macro lenses up to 105mm comfortably.

Lights are fairly faint. The arms are 22cm from the hot shoe, which will not be long enough for many decent macro lenses.

L'aspect anodin et le prix mini de cet accessoire ne laissent en rien supposer ses immenses qualités. La présentation est soignée, deux piles supplémentaires sont livrées et on a même droit à une notice en anglais (totalement inutile tant le fonctionnement est intuitif, mais c'est toujours mieux que le chinois !). S'agissant d'un éclairage "permanent" le boîtier gère parfaitement l'exposition en automatique. Vous pouvez modeler la lumière en jouant avec les deux niveaux d'éclairement de chaque bras, ainsi qu'avec la proximité des LED par rapport au sujet. Le seul petit reproche que l'on puisse faire est le léger manque de longueur des bras avec certains objectifs. Par ailleurs, je ne sais pas quelle est la durée de vie pratique des piles. Les quelques photos tests réalisées avec et sans cet apport de lumière ne laissent aucun doute, c'est beaucoup mieux avec ! Recommandation totale (uniquement pour la macrophotographie bien sûr) !
