The serrated knives are the most impressive. They have a pointed tip and are sharp. They could double for everyday steak knives. Nice weight on each utensil and each came wrapped individually in a plastic sleeve. The fork tines are a little pointy; not rounded. Depending on your preference, this is good or bad. The elastic holds each piece in place well. Very firm. The case looks nice. It's basically thick, solid cardboard, not wood, but the faux-wood finish looks real. A small piece of the case was bent and unfurling at the inside seam, but barely noticeable. On the outside there are impressions from the force of the elastic bands tugging on the cardboard. The only reason it is not a five is the storage case could be sturdier and I'd prefer more forks than spoons (not a coffee drinker.) But I purchased this knowing how many forks it had. It is a very great buy for the price. It would make a nice housewarming gift for someone in their first apartment. I will keep mine stored in the case with each use as long as it holds up.

I bought this product hoping to replace my old silverware. When I first received it, it was extremely scratched -- even more than the silverware I've had for years. So, I went to Customer Service and asked for a replacement. The second batch I got was slightly less scratched, but also extremely dented as if someone had dropped all the silverware multiple times. I'm disappointed by this product, as I would hope that it would be of better quality. Adding on, I feel like any sort of Quality Control would've been able to catch these defects and done something to improve the quality of this product.
