Intraosseous (IO) Access Trainer - Pediatric Leg/Tibia

I bought this for training with an IO drill. It works great. Has a realistic feel when in the bone.

This is small but works well. I wish it looked or had palpable landmarks. There are no instructions but from what I understand the syringe that came with “marrow” is meant to refill it, but I have to cut it open? At least inserting a needle feels accurate

I purchased the adult version of this product and had no issues. The pediatric trainer had no marrow filler in the bone and the skin was too thick for a manual or drill IO in the pediatric size. This trainer does however simulate the feeling of inserting an IO very well. Since aspiration of marrow is not required as a confirmation of placement, I still see it as a useful training tool. I was very excited to find this product at such a great price. I would however be willing to pay a few more bucks to have palpable landmarks.

Perfect purchase and great for training. Real feel and stable for students to use.

For a cheap training product, it fits the bill

The 2nd trainer I received with the thicker covering seems to be working better so far
