RUNJRX Keyboard Lube Kit

I have been using this kit for a week or so, so hopefully this review helps you make an informed purchase. First I would like to say that the Customer Service is great, they responded to my feedback and replaced a Stem-Holder that came broken out of box (Image 2 and 4). -Lube: 0.8oz with container, probably 0.5oz like advertised. (Image 1 and 4) I unfortunately cannot verify that this is a genuine Krytox product or not, but I've used it, and it works. -Tweezers: Good. -Key cap-puller: Good, It doesn't look like it, but surprisingly feel great to use. Some feedback I have would be to make the wires longer, so the user can pick up more keycaps before having to dump them out. -Switch-puller: Acceptable. Don't pull too hard or the pins in the front will bend, thankfully they can be bent back, the silicone handles feel great in the hand. -Switch-opener: Works well with Cherry style housing, however does not work on Gateron switches. (Image 5) -Brushes: Great, bristles are good quality and do not fray, they pick up and apply lube well. -Stem-holder: Unfortunately came in broken (Image 2). I was sent a completely new kit as a replacement (Image 4). I still have concerns about the integrity of the threads. (I would recommend disassembling the stem holder for storage, so the threads are not under constant pressure) -Shipping time and Packaging: Good packaging and useful storage case. (I notice in some previous reviews, some people pointed out that the products came loose in box and were free to move around, I'm guessing RUNJRX improved on that.) -Customer service: Great! Thank-you for responding! Conclusion: If this is genuine Krytox product, this set is Great Value. Good customer support and they seem to have improved on a few things based on feedback. The kit was a great help, everything in one box and high quality tools. The only complaint I can think of is a little bit of overhang on the brush bristles but that corrected itself once I started using them. The brushes are the perfect size and have retained their shape through multiple uses, the tweezers made holding small parts way easier, and the stem holder feels really good just slightly scratchy on the first few uses. I can easily recommend this set.

This is the perfect little kit for anyone starting out lubing their switches. I especially like how the switch opener has both 2 and 4 clip openers. Quality wise, it’s a bit on the cheap end, not too bad but not super great. However, I will say the brushes aren’t that good, after using them for about 10-15 minutes they started to fray. But again, that’s what you get for the price. If you want something that’s going to last you for a little bit, depending on how often you lube switches, this is a great starter kit.

I'm a budget mechanical keyboard type of person, and this kit was perfect for me. I used it to lube the switches of my Akko 5075B Plus and really like the results. The sound and feel of the keys is much poppier and smoother. This kit comes with SO much lube, even with lubing a 75% keyboard I still probably have 3/4ths of the lube left. The brushes are a perfect size, and the holding thing is very helpful. I had to use my own switch puller for some of the switches on my keyboard that were close to walls, as the included switch puller is too wide for tight spaces. The keycap puller worked great, and so did the tweezers (of course), the switch opener (it took some finagling to get into a routine with it but it does work just fine), and the spring-loaded pincher thing. All parts of this kit were helpful and worked just fine. Would recommend.

this is a great, budget, keyboard switch lube tool set. The krytox is exactly what I wanted, the tweezers I didn't really need, I'm not a big fan of the angled head but they did tweezery things when I needed them. The 4 prong stem holder is the money shot of the whole kit. This little holder is worth it's weight in gold. I did 110 switches yesterday and I would have lost my mind without the tools from this kit. The brushes are just "ok" one was a little wild and the bristles went everywhere it will probably get tossed but the other one was nice and straight, I trimmed it a little and it worked perfectly. I needed a set of tools for doing switches that would cover my needs and this did so perfectly. I would order this kit again.

Great lube. Tools are ok at best but will get the job done. You get a handy little plastic case too.

I've gotten a lot of out of this kit in the past few days, including changing switches, keycaps, and some other switch mods. The key puller, switch puller, and tweezers in particular are great. I've been struggling with the switch opener, but I think that's honestly user error and the weird set up of my switches more than anything. Great set!
