Christmas Comes Alive

I have three of the Brian Setzer christmas cds and I love them. The energy behind many of the songs make them our go to decorating and cooking making choices. This live CD helps capture the energy and excitement of his live shows even further. (If you get the opportunity to see his band live, definitely check it out...they put on a great show). I was very impressed with the quality of the recording. The mix of instruments and vocals is excellent and is on par with a studio recording. The horns are killer and I the trumpet section especially rocks. The lead player is stellar! Definitely pick this up...especially for the low price.

We just saw the latest incarnation of this show, here in Austin, on December 12th at the Moody Theater. Fourth row, dead center seat. What a fantastic show with the a great example of what happens when you match one of the best rockabilly master guitar players in the world with a full swing band. We'll have to agree with all the other previous positive comments, if you never heard this outfit up close and personal, put it on your bucket list. And if you have what you think is a best in class home sound system, we recommend that you put this CD in and crank it up, this record will put it to the test as a reference recording. Awesome production.Highly Recommended.

Basically if you own his Christmas Rocks that came out a few years ago then you have all these songs, but it's all live so there is a difference. After listening to this I would really love to see this production live. The band plays really tight for as large as it is. Really damn good...

Loved the Stray Cat Strut/Mean Man Mr. Grinch medley! Lots of great rockin' Christmas songs on here! Lots of fun and something different than the usual more sedate Christmas fare. See also his "Ultimate Christmas Collection" which gives you a full concert DVD in with the CD that you buy! Then you get the visual aspect as well...

Excellent production, good set list, very true recording of their live show. Love it, worth every penny. I saw them live in Buffalo & this was pretty much what it's like to be there.

THIS IS A GREAT CD, SO HAPPY AND UPLIFTING!!!! BRIAN SETZER IS THE GREATEST!!!! I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF HIS SINCE THE EARLY 80'S, LOVE THE "BSO" AND LOVE HIS SWING MUSIC!!! HE IS A GREAT TALENT, HIS LIVE SHOW ARE THE BEST!!!

Great Funky Album.

i enjoyed this one as the only mainstream xmas cds is from 70",80"s early 90"s & is the same old songs or its phil specter there were alot of rock n roll xmas songs in the 50"s but no one has ever made a decent rock n roll xmas cd i use to listen to stuart coleman on captial radio back in the 70"s on his show he played on a xmas eve there was loads of songs but apart from a few like blue xmas & run rudolph run the rest get left behind about time someone made a decent rock n roll xmas album....

As always Setzer delivers......for me he can do no wrong the man is a genius,I've loved his music from T he Stray Cats days and this is a great party album

Brian Setzer always comes through with his CD's. I believe I have all of his wonderful creations in my collection.

Good entertainment

Rien à redire sur cet album, tout roule à merveille, comme d'habitude !!! J'aurais aimé de nouveaux titres ( ex: Nine lives, Sweet Gene Vincent, entre autre ). Depuis plusieures années, il n'y a pas de grand changement sur les albums de Noel. Vous prenez ce dernier album, vous le comparez à celui de l'année dernière; sur 15 titres 10 etaient déjà là l'année dernière et les 5 autres etaient là les années précédentes. Dommage !!!!!!! Un peu de nouveauté aurait été la bienvenue. Ca reste du SETZER et c'est qd mm le principal. Bise à tous. Oliv'
