Avallon 152 Can Built-In Beverage Cooler - Left Hinge

Unreal- buy it! I wanted an under counter fridge that served a few purposes and had to fit my checklist. This was exactly 24” wide and about 34” high, so no ugly gap between the counter and the top of the fridge. I wanted it to be clean lines on the outside to match my glass front sub zero - this looks like it could be the twin.Pros:-Fits really well under standard height counters-clean lines, not extra metal-4 lighting options, blue & white, on consistently or just when opening fridge- keeps beverages insanely cold on all shelves; bottles, cans, tetra packs- very quiet motor compared to others- ADJUSTABLE SHELVES this was my #1 ask- as I like to put a variety of different height beverages inside and wanted to max out the capacity.- glass shelves that are clean looking- airated shelves with holes, which help keeps everything cool and keeps the fridge from working so hard- comes with a lock to keep toddlers, kids and teens at bay- you can fit a ton of bottles- shelves slide in and out- beeps when the door is left open (super important, see comment below)There are a few cons:- you have to close softly or door bounces back open. Seems like the seal is perfect once closed, but could have better catching system. Luckily it beeps when the door is open.- ours came with the rough glass on the bottom of the shelves so it doesn’t help to keep the bottles from rattling. Not sure if this was a defect in our unit- would have been great had the glass had the etching coating on the actual bottle surfaces.-rattles - I think if the wire shelves had some sort of plastic coating it wouldn’t make as much noise. Not something that bothers us, but it’s noticeable when you open and close the fridge.

4 years later, still love it! Holds a nice cold temperature, adjustable shelves, really quiet, sleek look! I like that the shelves have holes in them so you can put a wine bottle in and stick the top through the holes so that everything fits well.Only con is that the door bounces back, so you have to close it carefully/softly! Not a huge deal at all, you just can't expect it to adhere the way your fridge door would when you close it with some force behind it.

Most of these small under cabinet refrigerators simply don't keep drinks cold enough. And the ones that do are usually $2000 or more. Like most people who are in the market for one of these I did a ridiculous amount of research. This was after returning a Magic Chef to Home Depot because it didn't keep things cold enough. Don't make the mistake of buying a wine fridge and thinking it will keep your beer and soft drinks cold enough, it will not. Most wine fridges only get down to the low 40's, which is ok for wine but not cold enough for everything else. You need something that gets down to the low 30's like this Avallon. BTW is also has a huge capacity and looks very high end with quality stainless, glass shelves, and blue or white LED lighting. If you are in the market for one of these you will not be disappointed in this unit.UPDATE: 6 month's later and it's still working great. We get compliments on it every time we have guests over and I'm still impressed by just how much this "little" fridge holds. At any given time we have it stocked with two cases of beer, a case of soft drinks, a dozen sports drinks, a dozen Capri Suns, a dozen Frappuchinos, and I still have room for 5 or 6 large bottles of Pellegrino laying down at the very bottom. Not kidding, it's holds all of that and it still doesn't look crammed. The great unexpected benefit is that by keeping all of our refreshments in this fridge it frees up a ton of room in our main refrigerator so things aren't so crammed in there.UPDATE 2: Three and a half years later and it's still looks and works perfectly. Zero complaints.

Purchased the beverage refrigerator based on the reviews that this would be ice cold — and the fridge delivered! Temp down to 34 degrees which outperforms every other unit I evaluated. Really love the extra cold temp. I installed this as a built in. Other reviewers are correct in that this unit runs large relative to others — it was a very tight fit with both depth and height. Make sure to take note of the dimensions and measure your space carefully. also keep in mind you will need 2” of clearance in the rear of the unit. Depending on your cutout for the built in, could be a very tight fit. Mine worked but it is probably 1” deeper than a perfect fit. Really Like the blue light inside and the easy to adjust shelves. I shifted the shelves around allowing for one shelf to hold bottled beer standing up but means top shelf has quite low clearance which can only fit mini mixers and sodas. Was simple to unpack and install. Keep in mind that you need to select the specific model depending on your need for right or left door handle. Only change I would like is to have an option for a more frosted glass. The glass is clear so need to keep it pretty orderly inside since you can through the glass to the contents inside. Maybe will tint the glass someday.

I bought this in april 2018 after much research. It is pricier than a lot of what you’ll see but also south of quite a few others. In the end this one seemed to be the one that more people were happy with and lasted longer. I certainly has worked great for us. Not loud, love the blue light when it’s ooened and has a killer good built in look. I would say if you’re going to go cheaper don’t and save up for this one instead.

This is a great fridge. It's very expensive considering most big box stores now carry the same thing (different brands) for much less. The shelves aren't as flexible as I'd like in terms of placement, but we made it work. We're a little over a year in and it has been very reliable with no issues so far. Temperature control is excellent and noise level is very reasonable. Those are the two most important pieces in my book. The lock works, but is difficult to use. I have two teenagers so all we need is to make sure they can't get to the beer and we'll know if they force it open. The LED lighting, especially blue, is super cool and adds a nice element to our home bar.
