Great story potential but greatness not quite achieved.
Two great characters and two universes collide! I expected quite a lot. But the story did not deliver. And the art seemed second rate. Sorry. I wanted to like this book. I usually enjoy Bigby in his own books and Batman in his. The combination should have been epic. But it wasn't.

Fun Times and a Decent Mystery
Not the best Batman- a little too much Frank Miller Bats with none of the commentary on his toxic behaviour, but Bigby is always on point for me. As a Fables Fan I would give it a 5 but as Batman fan I found it a little disappointing so I settled on my 4 stars.

A fun ride.
This was a fun book. The dialogue was great. Art was good. Batman seems a bit out of character at times but it was a fun Elseworlds story. A fun read with some good concepts but not essential.

Worst comic ever written.
I don’t write reviews. But this deserves one. Who greenlit this garbage? I’m actually a fan of fables. And Batman. There are so many good stories that could have been told with Batman and Bigby, and this turd pile missed all of them. Bad writing, bad art choices, bad plot..etc. the only thing big and bad in this book was the choice to publish it.

Burn after reading
As a fan of both Fables and the Batman franchises, this crossover was a huge disappointment. To sum it up, it’s a shockingly superficial, bog-standard, run-of-the-mill action movie story with no creative twists or surprises. They rush the “story” by putting in at least 5-6 cheap shortcuts, making you feel that there’s no REAL threat to the heroes at any point. I don’t understand why they bothered putting together this thing at all. The drawings and composition is great, though, which is why I give it two stars. So much lost potential here…

Awful story. Disrespectful of the characters.
Batman and his crew are surprised by a talking wolf? What the fluffy monster?I thought this story takes place in the main universe but not so sure after reading it.Poor plot, poor use of characters NO USE of the other fable characters except for Cinderella. If you want a graphic novel you can read over and over because the story is so forgetable, then THIS is your book. Compared to Batman/Spiderman|Daredevil|Judge Dredd|Tarzan|Aliens, this book ranks last in the Batman crossovers. Go back and read some of those books instead of getting this one.

Shockingly Violent
Gratuitous Violence, doesn't add to the story. Surprised at you Bill!

Story was meh. Characters and dialogue were terrible
I wanted to like this book. I almost always enjoy crossovers. Stories usually are pretty basic but that’s to be expected. But, I didn’t expect the dialogue to make me feel like I’m reading fanfic. Batman sounds so stupid in this book and smiles at the strangest times. Art is nice but that’s how you notice Batman smiling when he shouldn’t.
