Can you use the macro filter without the red lens, for example when I'm not in the water and want a close up photo of something?

What type of macro lens is this +10 or +15? and is it glass? can yiy tether them on I already lost one diving

No sure about lense type There is a way to tether, I use zip ties.

Will a dive light effect the filter on the photos? I was planning on adding a suptig light on the camera for scuba diving.
