Probably not. You set it for a certain time and duration and that is how it works. You would have to be able to change it through a Bluetooth conection. Thus if the unit is within close proximity of a fixed bluetooth device and you could manipulate it remotely then it might work for you.

can it work for a full year with any program or does ir have a max of 7 days scheduling?

It lets you schedule to recur on specific days of the week, so if you wanted to set it to run, say MWF, or TThSat, or every day, that recurrence will continue as long as the battery lasts. You can check the battery status on the app, and turn the programs on, off, or change them from the app. I've got three of these now, and they work well - I typically set the program once for the summer season, and don't have to do anything until I'm ready to turn it off for the winter - but no reason it couldn't run all year. The battery also lasts me all year. The only downside is you have to be VERY close to the timer (like standing within maybe 5 feet of it) to connect to the Bluetooth - there's no way to adjust it remotely.

It seems to be waterproof. Ours is out in the open, and we had no issues with it in the one season we have owned it. Battery life is ok so far. We had to get closer to the device (within 10 feet) in order for the Bluetooth to work as it got later in the season. I'd assume we'd need to replace the batteries each year. We use it for about 5 months out of the year.

Can you use the app to turn the unit on and off wireless? Example, I want to activate the unit when a cat is in me yard to turn on/off a sprinkler?

Very simple and easy to use

Very handy timer for a small garden area. Very easy to set up on my phone and control. Would definitely recommend for a small garden irrigation system.

Not compatible with Australian watering systems!

Be careful if you are intending to use this timer in Australia as the thread on the outlet does not accept any of the watering fittings commonly used in Australia, nor is there a thread adapter available. I deliberately purchased these through Amazon.com.au to avoid such a situation but the items were shipped direct from the US with no apparent consideration for compatibility with Australian standards. I have since purchased the same timers locally with a different thread on the outlet.
