Luca [Blu-ray]

Fun great movie. Kiddo actually sat to watch this movie and had asked to watch again. He never sits to anything. We enjoyed it very much as well.

I think Luca is a great movie, and one I am happy to add to my collection. I had no issue with the Digital Code, and when i want sound or color to just pop, the disc is the perfect option.

Pixar has been “missing” and not hitting for me lately. But because I watched Elemental and LOVED it, I decided to go back and watch some of the other Pixar movies I missed. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Luca.The message of the movie is that of freedom. That there is a line between allowing your children to be free to explore their passions (in this case, Luca’s passion to purse an education of the human world) and being too controlling (parents wanted to take him deeper into the ocean away from the surface, similar to being locked away in the house).That being TOO controlling can result in your children resenting you and thus disobeying and acting out. That theme is VERY similar to The Little Mermaid, but with a young boy. It is also a message of friendship, sacrifice and sharing. Basically of controlling love versus unselfish love. It was beautiful.The musical score was also incredible. I am sort-of getting bored with the photorealistic look to every movie, but it is pretty if you like that.All in all, it’s really good. Interestingly enough, received an “Only at Target” edition.

Great movie! My two year-old granddaughter loves it! Great for little kids, and adults!

One of the cutest Disney animated movies. We watch it over and over.
