this has one job - insert US plug into adaptor, insert adaptor into UK socket. amazingly, US plugs do not fit. DO NOT BUY.

Versatile for all 3 European countries we visited!
Purchased a variety pack to ensure we'd have adapters in the European countries we were visiting. We needed all 3 for London, Switzerland and France! Good choice, versatile!

US 3 pins don't fit
As others have said, this doesn't work. US two-pins work fine, but the three pins don't go it. Not sure why, there's plenty of hole. Now, as I happen to have a US 2-3 pin handy, I can still use it - but still this is a pretty bad defect!
