Best multi function pen I've purchased!
I waited to write this review. I purchased this well over 1 year ago and use it almost daily. I LOVE this one. It is my work pen, so I use it almost everyday. It fits perfectly in my plotter notebook pen loop. It looks professional and feels sleek. It has a nice heavy weight to it. The pens I believe are ballpoint, but they feel kore like rollerball to me. I love the fine tips. The mechanical pencil is awesome and sturdy. I love the twist off cap with the hidden eraser in it. It's small for little mistakes, so don't expect a heavy duty one. The mechanism to switch from one cartridge to another is unique. I love it. It uses a gravity system much like the rotring and lamy multi. Once you get used to it, it works perfectly. Not to mention, it is super cool when you show people how different it works. An impressive pen indeed. It may not be for everyone but it is perfect for me. I definitely recommend this pen!!

A perfect multipen - once you replace the cartridges
*update* one year later of continuous use, it's been in a pen case knocking around a bit. The finish is still basically perfect, and I have worn through two cartridges and a ton of lead already. I'm absolutely going to give a few of these away as gifts in the future.I've been impressed. It took a few minutes to figure out how the system works - to extend the mechanism you want, you have to turn the entire pen so the color you want is pointing up, that drops a little ball bearing down into the mechanism you want, and then you press down on the end and it extends what you need. For the pencil, just click it again to extend the lead. Twist the cap and the mechanism retracts. It takes some getting used to, but once you're comfortable with the mechanism, it's super slick. There's a nice eraser hidden under the end cap that can be slid forward as it wears down, giving it an acceptable lifespan (if you're drafting and need a serious eraser, you already have a separate eraser sitting aside - this is for correcting notes in math and chemistry and such)The erasers are compatible with rotring 600 erasers. You can use the rotring metal collar, but it's tight, so the easier option is to slide out the rotring eraser and put it in the collar of the sailor. The fit and finish are superb and it feels nice and tight in the hand, something that most multipens don't manage. I've been using it a ton and none of the matte finish or black plating on the furniture has scratched or flaked. Durability feels great. The pen is all metal. My only complaint is the ballpoints. They're terrible. I'm probably not the person to really critique them since I'm a fountain pen user, but I detest all ballpoints apart from the fisher space pen. Thankfully, this uses a standard D-1 cartridge, so for a few more bucks, I replaced them with black, red, and blue zebra ultrafine rollerball cartridges and now all is right with the world. This is a nice, professional, slick multipen that any teacher or student would love to have. Just get them some zebra rollerball cartridges as well.

Works fine, costing isn’t durable enough.
Black coating is not durable enough to carry this in your pocket, it was worn off just being in a chest pocket fit the day. Mechanism is a little finicky.

Sent used pen
Was sent a used product just thrown in the box. Cap and documents missing. Unsatisfactory

Very nice Multi Pen
Bought this as I had seen good reviews for it online. I was planning to replace the refills with other D1 refills I love. I was pleasantly surprised that the refills it comes with write very nicely, I ended up not switching them out.

Good pen, but lost the front of the body
I was very happy with the pen, but the front of the body came unscrewed and I lost it. Now I need a replacement part. I can't find any place that could sell me this.

Worth buying, but no refills come with it.
Good quality pen ball points write smooth. The pen is nice and solid. Easy to get used to. I just think that for the price it should come with at least 1 replacent for each color of ink. Also you can hear the parts of the pen wiggle inside, some people might think that makes it seem cheap but it's just the mechanism in the pen, it doesn't bother me but it's worth mentioning.

Nice multi-color pen
It's convenient to have 3 frequently used colors and a pencil available at the same time. It takes a little while to figure out the mechanism, but as a uX designer, I would say it's very easy to learn. If you don't read Japanese, don't worry because you don't need to read the instruction to learn how to use it. I also like the sound it makes when you turn the barrel to retrieve the tip.
