I love this. It helps when we go on a day trip or away for a little while to know they always have fresh water. I would say I've had this for at least 4 months now? So far, it has been great. There is a small water trickle not unlike a fish tank, but is a very peaceful and non disruptive sound. It needs to be scrubbed out at least every couple of weeks or every month depending, it's not a total set it and forget it. The carbon filter works but not long term, and the inner tub will eventually get pink mold. This is no issue for me as the parts are easily removable and I use a fruit scrubber to wash them with hot water and Ajax soap. Remove the pump and wash separately with a scrubber and tiny amount of liquid soap, but rinse thoroughly. This helps when the motor seems to slow down, or its blinking red and has been a while since you last cleaned it. Once it is cleaned and refilled (I use brita water to extend the life of the cleaning) it should last a little while longer. Very well worth the price, works just as well as the other products for the right price. Will update at 6-8 month mark. When you buy this and figure it out, it helps you realize that these things can be very very overpriced, and that the fancy ones on the market are all show and flair. This simple setup proves that at the heart of the device, its a simple fish tank pump motor. If it ever broke, I would try to buy a new one at the local fishtank supply shop.

I'm a very frugal person who spends a lot of time researching and finding the best deal before buying a product. I really recommend this one.I bought this for my cat for Christmas 2021, it's now June 2022 and the fountain still works great. I haven't had any issues with spilling or my cat being able to take any pieces apart which I know is an issue with some other models.My husband doesn't like the noise but I actually enjoy it, it sounds like one of those mini plug in water fountains everyone had in the 90s. He's just picky.Maintenance is really easy, you just have to take the 2 trays apart and wash them with warm soapy water. The sponge gets clogged up with a little chunk of cat hair but I just run it under the sink and it pops off and goes down the drain. Clean it with dish soap and rinse and it's good as new. Every 1-2 months I unplug the basin and give it a good rinse, being sure not to get water on the electrical parts outside of the machine. I buy gallons of spring water to refill it so I don't have to deal with a lot of hard water.Overall my cat loves this fountain and I feel like it encourages him to drink a lot more than he usually would, which is great because he was having really dry skin & dandruff.

I love how convenient it is to not have to fill a bowl with fresh water every day. This water has a filter and circulates so it stays fresh and the window to see the water level is handy as well. It's a great fix for people who have picky pets that only want to drink out of running water.

My daughter's Russian Forest Cat is a very picky spoiled rotten brat child. But I love her non the less, we like to use cleaners in our toilets but Pearl likes to drink directly from the toilets and that worried us. So I bought this product and she took to it immediately. During a busy covid-19 work schedule, I neglected to take care of the fountain for around 3 months, it was not moving water, so I disassembled the entire unit and did a deep clean and replaced the filters and cleaned the pump. Good as new and I feel bad for allowing it to get as dirty as it did. Pearl is a long hair cat and her fur finds its way into the filters and pump so if your cat is long hair as well, just clean it once a month and your cat will thank you in good health and the occasional head bump into the leg. Instead of a wet spot on my pillow or a butt biscuit in my shoe. All joking aside, I wanted to put a review out there for this company because this product merits a good review from my experience. I hope your experience is the same, minus the lazy slip I made.

We had never had one of these, and weren't sure if the cats would like it. We have 4. 1/3 of a jury, and just as judgemental. After a little bit of apprehension, they love it, and I'm pretty sure are drinking more water (which is good for them).Convenient -- keeps their water clean, and you don't have to fill it as often.Quiet -- it only starts to burble if the water is running low. There is an actual signal built in to tell you it's running out of water -- the blue light surrounding the rim turns red -- but the noise will tip you off a little sooner.The filters do get icky pretty fast, and you may have to change them more often than the instructions say. The off-brands of filters and sponges that look like the ones that came with the fountain will work fine in it.

This fountain lasted almost 2 years running alllll the time. I bought it in Oct 2021 and it just stopped working yesterday (Aug 2023). Super easy to clean and the replaceable filters are an amazing asset. Is there a replacement motor I can purchase? The fountain is currently out of stock, but hoping it comes back soon. You should have seen this cat when I gave him a BOWL of water for now....that didn't spout water lol.

My two 7 year old cats refused to drink from this for the first 3 months. I kept changing the water every few days. Finally one started drinking from it and the other followed her lead. It’s a great purchase. My only complaint is the blue LED light stop working but it does not effect the fountain from working. (The light was more for me them them anyway!)Make sure you change the filter every month or so.Don’t give up if your older cats ignore it for a few months and continue to give them an alternative water source.Very happy with this purchase.

I bought two of these for two different rooms in the house and they both stopped working after only a few weeks. I could not find the problem or fix them
