Don't Give Up!
Using this with a Rapberry Pi 3b+ and Octopi 0.18.0. I am using the long cable to run from the LCD of my Ender 3 Pro to the X axis motor area (2d code).I was originally going to replace this as I thought it was broken, but I ended up getting it working. I started with a fresh Octopi install and it worked instantly (I had been trying to get multiple cameras working). Make sure you didn't mess something up before you call it garbage.I have this mounted to my X axis motor on my Ender 3 Pro and I can't complain on the image quality. I can see layer lines on the parts closest to the camera without issue. Autofocus works, but I currently have to boot the Pi and then restart Octoprint to get the plugin to handle focus for me. I'm sure this is my fault and the point is, the autofocus works nicely. It's great to be tweaking things without running back to the printer to make adjustments. I think it's a solid value.Also... I was confused about the red light. It blinks once at boot, then is steady red when streaming. Don't assume it's broken because the light isn't on.

Aito-focus works with OctoPrint on a PI4 out of the box
As a quick check, I loaded the most recent stable build of OctoPI (0.18.1 with OctoPrint 1.8.6) on a PI4.After initial, standard setup without adding any plugins, the camera works with auto-focus.The target 3D printer is currently running on a PI3 B+ with Mainsail. I will attempt to get that running next.

Don't Waste Your Money
Update:I actually removed a star. Support reached out to me and were annoyingly persistent in making sure I had help. That usually deserves additional stars but they still couldn't help me, and painted me as the problem variable. Their support is based in China and the only time they had available to work with me directly via webinar was in the evenings when I'm not available. The difference in timezones just makes it impossible for me to work with them. They offered to help via emails/Amazon messaging. They mentioned the documentation provided with the camera was outdated, and they sent me a URL for updated documentation. That's a big fail on their part. (There are ways they can let customers know about updated documentation. I've had Amazon sellers reach out to me before the product arrived to inform me of new documentation.) I went through the new documentation but still couldn't get it to work. I sent screenshots of errors, and the response was "oh we can see from the screenshot it's working, just skip that step". Even though the screenshot was clearly showing an error. And another set of screenshots I sent they responded and said they can see that I don't have experience with the Linux CLI, and I should have done XYZ instead. Well, I did EXACTLY as the new documentation said, and it failed. So the new documentation wasn't much better than the first. That's when I sent it back to Amazon for a refund. It's clear there was a hardware issue and that's why everything kept failing. I'm not sure why they didn't offer a replacement. Very unusual and very unprofessional. I would still avoid this product. Just stick with genuine Pi products.Original Review:The image isn't clear and the motorized focus doesn't work. Even with the Octoprint plugin installed I can't get it to focus. The documentation is outdated and poorly written (just doesn't work as they expect, lots of errors, and road blocks). I can't even find info on how to use the plugin properly. Additionally, because I can't seem to get the proper interface enabled Octoprint doesn't recognize the camera. I can see the camera preview under the control tab (blurry and out of focus) but it doesn't recognize the camera for Octolapse preview and other configuration options. I reached out to support a couple days ago and still haven't heard back. I might just toss this in the garbage and buy a fixed focus Pi camera. I thought the motorized focus would be nice to have with different size prints, but it's just a pain.

Directions need directions
As a camera this works very well - 5 star. Getting it setup to use in OctoPi, well.... 2 stars! The written directions are inadequate and incomplete. They refer you to online directions that, too, are incomplete. Somewhere I found a THIRD set of directions, and between the three I got it working. Don't ask me what I did, because I'm not sure... ArudCam, please spend the money for ONE set of thorough, complete installation and setup instructions!! I understand things change, update, etc. Have your included paper refer the user to A (ONE) web page with the more current info and instructions.

It’s Decent
The field of view is rather narrow which is to be expected. I am using for a 3d printer so at times it feels like it’s too close or too far. Hard to get that sweet spot. Compared to the Wyze camera I have also setup the quality is a step down though the size difference is immense.

Great for octoprint
Great little camera. For those using octoprint, look up a tutorial on installing this. It’s not difficult….. HOWEVER, I discovered one thing I didn’t see in many tutorials. Go into your config.txt and add#ArduCamFocusdtparam=i2c_vc=ondtparam=i2c_arm=onOnce I added that, focus control started working
