The guitar is very nice, easyto play, it's lightweight. It feels great, it's a great by for the price.

I've always wanted to learn the bass, so for my birthday I bought this to get myself into learning how to play. The bass itself performs great, sounds pretty good, and the small amp that comes with it works pretty great. Definitely not professional grade by any means, but if you're learning how to play, and don't want to drop a bunch of money on a high-quality bass from the start, this is definitely a valid option to go with.

I have been playing bass for 45 years and bought this bass for my grandson for a starter. Pros, for an economy priced kit it is a good deal. The paint finish is really nice. Nice light weight. Sounds good for the money. Amp is ok. Cons; I had to make some adjustments to get the action right on it. If you are looking for a bass to play right out of the box this is not the bass for you. Just need to intonate, adjust the truss rod and set up the action to get the buzz out of the first and second frets. Has a little rougher neck on the back side. Polished it so was more smooth. Overall my grandson loves the bass combo kit and is playing in his high school band with no complaints. Now I can have my personal bass back....lol

Explanation: I'm wanting to make some modifications to a decent bass I already have but was hesitant because it is a good bass as is and I don't want to mess it up. I thought buying a cheap bass to practice the mods on would be prudent, so that's what I did. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Glarry bass. The set up was almost what I would have it right out of the box. Nice low action. Easy to play. Tone is much better than I was expecting. And it's lighter than I expected. The strings aren't great, but would be ok for younger kids starting out. And having just one tone knob makes it easy for beginners to get a tone they can work with. I caught the cyber Monday sale and picked up the complete package that included the amp thinking it would be good enough for my grandkids to play with and not be using my good one. The amp isn't anything great, but can be adjusted to a tolerable sound. It is small and light weight so I'm not surprised that it's a bit lacking in tone quality. But again, perfect for kids just starting out. It's a reasonable quality set up if you have a kid wanting to try out bass before investing a lot of money or who changes their interests frequently.

Normally I play guitar. But I wanted to venture out of my comfort zone and get an electric bass. This was an excellent purchase! I LOVE the color scheme option I picked, especially when I saw it in person! Even the guys at the music shop were amazed at the quality of this Glarry! Action is a bit high, but that's not even a downside since it can be adjusted (not that I have done so). Plays great, feels comfortable, and outside of replacing the cable it came with (a personal choice to be honest) I have no regrets! Considering all that comes with it, and the prices of just the basses out there, I am happy with it!

I love it. Was so excited to have a bass again after not for years. Haven't tried the amp yet but the bass itself has a nice sound.

**Damaged box** This was a gift for a 13 year old, packaged was damaged. After a month or so testing it no issues and great quality. As advertised.
