So many for a good price

these are great hearing aid batteries but the packaging stinks! However, its not the companys fault because according to a recent law ALL hearing aid batteries have to be child proof. I get it but what about older people who cant even access their hearing aid batteries without tearing it out with a knife or scissors. My husband is not elderly but many times while he is at work or in the car he needs to change it out. This is not easy. Its near impossible. Cant parents teach and monitor their children not to touch and eat hearing aid batteries??

An update. I've now used these batteries for several months and I have found that several new batteries failed immediately after being inserted. I used to switch batteries in pairs as they pretty much wore out at the same speed. With these batteries, I've switched to replacing which ever one went dead at the moment because the other may last a day or two longer. I've lost several batteries because they fall out of the packaging and I didn't notice. I threw away a few because they never worked. While the initial purchase may have been a bit cheaper, these have become the most expensive batteries I've used. I'll never buy them again. Previous review: I bought these to replace PowerOne batteries that I have used for years. It is hard to know for sure but these batteries seem to last every bit as long as PowerOne and possibly a bit longer. For me, they last about 96 hours (6 days X 16 hrs/day). Of course usage varies a bit. The one drawback to the batteries is the peel-off tab. The tab is much smaller than the PowerOne batteries and is more difficult for old fingers to grasp and remove. Also the tab is on the bottom of the battery in its container and is harder to see. When I replace batteries, I put the used battery back in the container where the new battery was removed. Then later I recycle them. With PowerOne it as very easy to distinguish old batteries without the tab and new ones with the tab. Thus, I could easily tell when the package was fully used and I needed to replace it. With these batteries, since you can't easily see the pull-off tab, you can't tell how many batteries are unused. Functionally, the batteries are very good. The packaging however could be substantially improved. If the packaging were improved, these would be 5-star rated. In the picture I attached, both packages contain 2 used batteries and 4 new batteries. An update: I've now used these for a few months and I am changing my rating downward. I've come to dislike the packaging so much that I would not buy these again and I do not recommend them. If you carry the little pinwheel of batteries in your pocket, eventually the batteries will fall out of the package and given the size of each battery, you are likely to lose some of them. Removing the seal tab from each battery is much harder than with other batteries. With more experience now, I can say that these perform essentially the same as the PowerOne batteries that I previously used. The little bit of price savings is not worth the inconvenience of use.

I will buy again good price

Batteries work well and last as long as Duracell. But the packaging!!!! Not that it’s just Amazon, the packaging across the board is horrible for seniors with arthritis or other hand and strength disabilities but this was the worst! This was the pile of plastic, some of it sharp, after I cut it up to put the batteries in a battery case for easier access when needed.

Ordered these several times as a gift for elderly parent that was paying way too much at retail stores and limiting use of hearing aids as a result. Each order has lasted 6 months or about 6 days per battery pair. Everyone is very pleased.

Another hazardous and tedious hard-to-open “childproof” product! Honestly, most users of this product are elderly and don't need (and are physically, unable) to use scissors to open anything! Also, I found the battery life is only about 3 to 4 days. The name brand 312 hearing aids batteries last 5 to 7 days. I bought them because of the price. You get what you pay for, I guess.

They are quite fiddly to get out of the packaging, but price outweighs that.

Calidad y durabilidad a buen precio. Cuestan 3 veces menos que las que te venden en la tienda de audífonos. Duran unos 5-6 días con un uso de unas 12-14-16horas.

Sono sempre alla ricerca di batterie idonee agli apparecchi acustici di mia madre e tengo sotto controllo le varie offerte che si alternano su Amazon relativamente alla tipologia 312 tentando anche di fare una comparazioni tra le diverse marche. Ultimamente avevo provato con una buona riuscita sia le Rayovac Extra che le Power One, ma attualmente non le ho trovate con una offerta economicamente interessante ed allora ho provato le nuove A312 Amazon Basic ovvero commercializzate direttamente da Amazon con marchio proprietario e pertanto garantite sia a livello di qualità che di costo. Le ho testate per un periodo sufficiente a poter dare un giudizio oggettivo, utilizzandole nel nuovo apparecchio acustico di mia mamma dotato anche di funzionalità Wireless e posso tranquillamente ritenerle in grado di garantire una durata d’uso analogo a quello dei due produttori suddetti e solo lievemente inferiori, direi di un 15%, rispetto alle originali Amplifon però commercializzate ad un prezzo più che doppio. E’ ovviamente un prodotto nato per il supporto degli apparecchi acustici e pertanto non mi aspettavo grandi sorprese ma è sempre giusto valutare al meglio l’accumulatore e le sue performance complessive prima di consigliarlo ad altri. Al momento gli apparati acustici con uso intensivo wireless sono rinomati per essere piuttosto energivori ma è comunque una funzionalità attivabile dall’utente pertanto i miei test necessitavano di un periodo di confronto piuttosto lungo in quanto mia madre attiva tale funzionalità, rivolta all’ascolto dell’apparato televisivo in wireless mediante un apposito trasmettitore, solamente per alcune ore e comunque con diverse tempistiche settimanali, mentre per la restante parte della giornata utilizza l’ausilio come normale apparecchio di ascolto ambientale, quindi le mie valutazioni sono comunque passibili di un piccolo ma accettabile errore statistico. L’apparato su cui le ho testate di marca Amplifon ed utilizza appunto il modello 312 PR41 con codice colore marrone. La scadenza delle batterie è adeguatamente lontana, sul retro del blister è indicata tra tre anni nel 2020 e dimostra che si tratta di batterie di produzione recente, la consegna di Amazon come al solito impeccabile, essendo Prime mi sono arrivate in un giorno lavorativo. Sicuramente lo saprete, ma comunque voglio ricordavi che queste batterie si attivano con l'ossigeno ovvero sollevando l'adesivo, l'ossigeno penetrando all'interno della batteria innesca la reazione di produzione energetica, attenzione quindi a non staccare prima l'adesivo, riducendo drasticamente la durata delle pile. La confezione era una semplice scatola in cartoncino con all’interno 10 blister separati, ciascuno contenente 6 batterie posizionate in un dispenser rotante che aiuta la fuoriuscita della batteria da una finestrella posta sul dorso. La fabbricazione delle A312 è americana mediante l’utilizzo di parti provenienti da diversi paesi (non specificato quali) ma la struttura in acciaio inossidabile ne garantisce comunque una ottima tenuta e resistenza nell’uso in ambienti evidentemente non troppo asciutti assicurandoci che non avvengano perdite in grado di danneggiare i delicatissimi circuiti degli ausili acustici. Ottima anche la curva di scarico che ha garantito sempre piena energia all’apparato dall’inizio alla fine della vita della batteria senza diminuzioni progressive che potrebbero portare anomalie all’uso degli ausili. Qualora rilevassimo problemi nelle confezioni successive alla prima da noi provata, sarà mia cura aggiornare la recensione.
