Is the Patrol expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely!!!
I would give the Patrol ten stars if I could! The Volaris Patrol has greatly improved the quality of my life. I am over sixty but until a couple of years ago I spent the weekends walking: sheep herding with my border collie, practicing dog agility, and hiking natural areas for several hours at a time. Then a back problem changed everything. Walking and standing became painful; I became sedentary (and gained thirty pounds!) -- I was sure that my hiking days were done. Then my husband got me the Volaris Patrol and I couldn't be more thrilled! With my weight on the handles (and off my spine) I am able to walk for hours. With just a cane, I needed to sit very frequently to ease the painful legs spasms, but with the Patrol, I only need to sit a couple times an hour. Best of all, my border collie and I are now back to one and even two hour hikes on nature trails -- the Patrol handles roots and rocks and uneven ground. The mesh basket holds my purse, a couple of water bottles, a water bowl and poop bags with room to spare. If you need to get through a narrow space, just pull up the seat (as if you was collapsing the Patrol for travel) and it still offers solid support. It is a little heavier than a previous rollator that I tried, but it is much, much easier to collapse and put in the car. I'm very glad that I decided on the "wide" as I could not have squeezed into a narrower seat. At a recent visit to my vet, she spent as much time examining my Patrol as my dog (a small dog that likes to ride on the seat). She was so impressed with the Patrol's sturdy build and quality that she is going to get them for her parents. She was impressed by the solid support it offers and I am too. My last rollator could not handle rough terrain (it was not designed for that) and I had to be careful not to tip over. Is the Patrol expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely!!!

Best gift to myself in mannny years. Highly recommend to anyone in need of such an aid, you will feel safely supported !
Having several, painful issues I live with, I have tried and purchased many products to help myself to keep me walking. No,words strong enough about how happy I am with my prurchase. Easy to use, comfortable, while resting on it as well. I can stand up straight while walking which helps all my physical issues so very much. I purchased to use outside when I cannot use my scooter due to weather. Also, to keep myself walking as much as possible.which is way beyond my med team's expectations. Going from using two canes at once to such comfort and confidence in my own safety while being able to walk to my chicken houses etc truly is a gift for my spirit. High priced, yep! Worth every penny? Yep ! I go to medical, center every two, weeks and shall be showing my new pal off. I will recommend to anyone in need of such an item. Paid 3x what I ever thought I could afford. Now I know I could not afford not to have my Patrol wide.i might have been able to do okay with the regular sized. I like I have more heights and sitting height options ! Handy when wearing boots or shoes with such different soles thicknesses. Happy homesteader here! Easy to use in our smaller home we downsized to when we decided to move back to the rural life. Upsized to more remote rural location living and upsizing land. I so enjoy walking about again here on the 3 acres we homestead of our .25+ acres. I am feeling safe walking and blessed. To have found this All Terrain pal of mine, who, even lets me rest comfortably when I need. If you are considering this purchase, drop, your doubts. Be good to yourself or needing friend, relative and purchase from excellent sellers as is the product. Choice is to buy a piece of wobbly unsafe and sometimes clumsy run away walker or buy really safe easy to use support as I have. Just an FYI-n youngster here..73 yoa gal working to keep herself actively walking with multiple physical issues that most people just sit down and give up. Get up, learn how to use this and walk....never give up...

FLAWS
While I have hopes of using this item in my garden, I am shocked to see 100% favorable ratings for this much flawed product. 1) The examination period is a mere 2 days, and testing on natural terrain is discouraged via restocking charges. 2) A basket, seat cushioning, and a backrest are options; wheeled walkers a third the cost include all three. 3) The seat is barely a ledge 9" (?) deep. The peculiar geometry of its front edge has nearly square corners that dig into my thighs. 4) Since the adjustment track for the seat is inboard, you have two poor options. Shred your clothes on exposed notches or fill those notches with provided plugs. Because removing the plugs requires a prying tool or fingers of steel, the fancy latches involved will be getting little or no use. The thoughtlessness of choosing appearance over function is the only obvious reason the adjustment track and latches weren't placed outboard of the seat. Moreover, I don't find the track all that unattractive. 5 thru 9) Problems with small hand grip, nuisance of grip "guard," easily unlatched brakes, absence of handhold at balance point, and the decrease in maneuverability due longer wheelbase. 10) Unless you are porting it upright as you might in a full-size van, it takes more floor space and effort to load it than does a more conventional unit. Only after it is loaded can one recover some of the floor space and that's a lot of work for the impaired or their help..
