These are wonderful. Over the last year, since I got osteoarthritis in my left knee, I have tried brace after brace. None of them kept my knee aligned. Then I found this one. I wear it everyday, all day long, and it literally has changed my life nearly back to normal. There is no more pain, no more glitching, and no more falling down. And best of all, it feels so good! This brace does run a size too small, so be sure to get the next larger size.

I have OA of both knees, bone on bone. I'm a heavy girl, 6ft 290 lbs. The XL fits perfect, snug, but stays put for my 13 hour shifts as a nurse on my feet. I throw them in the machine washer and dryer after every use since I work in a hospital with God knows what germs I'm exposed to. Even after over a year the braces have held up. Please don't stop making these braces. I've tried many kinds, most don't give enough support, and the exoskeleton ones are not practical/comfortable to wear under my uniform. I like the gel pad over the knee because if I absolutely have to kneel down it protects my knee from shooting pain on the hard hospital floor. Highly recommend.

Edit: Nov 8, 2015 - Raised to 4 stars because the XL replacement is so good and return of the L to Amazon was so painless. This knee stabilizer is very well made and gives great support. The gel pad over the knee cap is very comfortable. However, they run small as some others have said. My careful measurements put me right in the middle of a Large size according to the chart. But it was way too tight to the point I had trouble even getting it on and pulling it up. My advice is to order a size larger, which I later did. If not for the size issue I would have given 5 stars.

One flaw: If the knee is locked in tight it creates pressure on your knee cap and eventually pain. I have 4 ACL and 2 miniscus surgeries under my belt. If the company does not fix this and you agree just take a razor and carefully cut the very center padding away. This will give your knee room to breathe and move. The product is excellent for lateral stability. I hope that help fellow knee people.

These worked very well for my Alaskan trip. Supported both knees easily and still do. I can wear them all day long and have no issues. They fit well and are easy to put on and take off. They are wearing well and are easy to wash and don't shrink at all. They are comfortable all day and night if necessary. Size was perfect as advertised.
