*Edited Review*After going back and reading the other reviews, I realized there is a pull tab that is not obvious. You have to take the light apart a little. Once done they have worked great.Sooo I was really hoping I’d be one of the few who got a good product but that is not what’s happened. They pretty much are lawn ornaments because they have never even illuminated. Very disappointed. They look nice otherwise. I’d return if I would have kept the box. Although I’m sure Amazon would still take them back.

I was going to return these then read a review who fixed my issue. The directions were not clear, to get to the on button you have to remove the top and take off the “bulb” and the button is in there! One of mine didn’t work after doing this so I swapped out the batteries for new and they are actually so bright I was so shocked because I have them facing north with not much direct sunlight at all.

The lantern look unique in the garden, but not sturdy enough. The stand is not come in a one piece, I got one that cannot connect well to hold the weight of the lantern. Very easy to assemble if there is no defective. I installed this morning full sun and it hasn't light up yet, will give a try for more days.

UPDATE: I was provided a replacement for the defective lamp. I swapped out the defective lamp for a new one and returned the box to the seller. Now 2 weeks later the other original lamp has stopped working. The battery will not recharge. Now I caan't get another replacement. Don't waste your money in these!Lanterns make a cute accessory to a garden. Disappointed that one latern stopped working after the first full day of charging in the sun. It appears battery is dead. New purchase should not have a dead solar battery. Light from lantern is not as bright as expected. It is a bright white led. I thought bulb would be warm white like my other solar garden lights.

So I've had these over a year now, I think I changed the batteries once in that time. So the solar power has been holding up pretty well. They aren't super bright but they are enough for us. They add a little something to my driveway which is all I wanted. My negative is one of the lantern poles arrived partially broken, so it has this weird curve right in the middle which is very noticeable and makes the whole lantern tilt . It's a Hassel to return so I've just lived with it but it bothers me every time I go out and see them. 😆

Adorable and functional! It was tricky at first with no clear instructions, but figured out in the end. Some reviewers mentioned about malfunctioning but please note that you must turn the switch to ON first. The switch is located inside the light bulb cap. You have to twist it to open and you will see a tiny on/off switch. Also, one of mine had the AA battery placed the wrong way! I had to switch plus/negative sides and the light turned on. Wish the instruction was more clear as to where these things are hiding. Otherwise, this $16 fits my budget and I am happy with my lanterns!

I bought these to go with the way I decorated my front yard. There perfect and light up so brightly.

They quit working within a month.
