Just as described. This provides a small area for a young toddler to play. Suggested appropriate age would be 10mo-4 years. Although my 5 year old enjoyed playing in it, she was really too big for the area. Balls are NOT included and we bought 100 to put in this playpen which were plenty for our baby to play with but if you want to fill up the playpen in several layers of balls you would need twice that. Also for storage, this product does fold into a shape about the size of a small dinner plate. There are no ties to hold it in this shape so either keep the plastic bag it comes in or use a rubber band to keep it folded. Overall this is exactly what we wanted - small ball play area for our 12 mo old.
