Alpine KCE-433iV USB Full Speed iPod and reg/iPhone Cable for CDE-102

When used with my Alpine CDE-9873 radio this cable will connect with the iPod connector at the back of the radio and give full control of the iPod using the radio controls. I was not sure that my iPod was one of the comparable models as it is a very old original model iPod. When I first connected it the radio did not detect it and I began to think about buying a newer iPod. However the connector is VERY hard to push together. I read one of the previous reviews here and the user suggested using channel--lock pliers to push the connectors all the way together and that did the trick. Searching for the song or album you want takes some getting used to but is not hard with practice. The sound is great and the title, artist, etc, scrolls across the radio display. It also keeps the iPod charged!. Some people have complained that it MAY not be a true Alpine cable, but I've looked at both and this s identical at less than half the price here on Aazon. I'm sure it's made by the same manufacturer. It was a very happy purchase!

If you are seeking the authentic Alpine branded KCE-433IV cable, this is it. There are a number of cables on here that are not authentic. I ordered another cable labeled KCE-433IV direct from Amazon and it was not the Alpine branded cable I expected to receive, additionally, it was also the incorrect cable (11 pin instead of 13 pin).Be sure that upon receipt of the cable you verify that there are in fact 13 pins.The Alpine KCE-433IV allows you to play your iPod and iPhone tunes directly through an Alpine enabled head unit and charge your iPod/iPhone as well.If you are attempting to route the cable cleanly, please be advised that the cable is of high quality and is rather thick so running the wire may prove a bit more difficult under certain situations.All in all a quality product in which I have no complaints.

I bought an Alpine head unit from another vendor who wanted to charge ten dollars more for the Alpine brand cable. They also offer a similar cable from another maker and it probably doesn't make that much difference, but I was happy I could get the Alpine cable for the cheaper price through Amazon. It pays to shop around. This cable really extends the capabilities of the Alpine unit by integrating the iPod into the system. Sound quality is great. The ability to charge the iPod while it's plugged in is a nice bonus.

I first purchased this cable from Amazon in 2010, which order was filled by Alpine. I was very pleased with the cable. However, I recently had to purchase a replacement. This time, the order was filled by RioRand. I hate this cable. The cable is thinner, smaller guage, and due to the enormous amount of noise coming through the stereo I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the shielding. The iPod connector feels like it is made of cheaper material than the original, and where the blue connector that plugs in behind the stereo used to click right in, this new connector barely fits and requires a lot of extra effort to make the connection. If I could get one of the original cables, I'd do that. Maybe one of the other sellers of this product has one of these?Quite disappointed.

This is a top quality cable, and is an authorized Alpine Electronics OEM, but besure you specify by email from the supplier exactly whic cable goes with which model Alpine car stereo. And then, even though I did, they still got it wrong!! I'm now stuck going to a Alpine dealer and praying they have the cable I need. Don't bother with this supplier!

Worked as advertised. Plugs in the back on my Alpine Car CD/MP3 Player and connects tomy iphone.

this makes it so much easier to use my iphone and ipod with my alpine head unit, not only does it play the songs, but you charge the item through this cable and control all the music and go through the playlists as well

IF U HAVE A IPOD U NEED THIS ADAPTER FOR UR DECK, ITS CHEAP SO, JUST GET THE DANG THING......ITS BETTER THAN HAVING A BUNCH OF WIRES PLUGGED INTO THE FRONT OF UR DECK, THATS SILLY.......

Per chi come me ancora adopera un ipod in auto e ha voglia di collegarlo seriamente alla propria alpine questo è il cavo giusto!Ne ho provati anche di non originali ritrovandomi poi a comperare questo, che si è rivelato sufficentemente lungo, morbido per essere passato negli anfratti del cruscotto e perfettamente funzionante

ho collegato un vecchio i-pod che non reggeva più la batteria allo stereo alpine dell'auto,migliora la qualità audio e mantiene in carica l'ipod,è come avere un hard disk in macchina con tutte le possibilità che offre in più la comodità di scegliere le proprie canzoni in base agli artisti, album, playlist, ecc come sul vecchio ipod direttamente sullo schermino dello stereo
