This purchase came about in a round about way. My wife and I were planning a trip to Las Vegas and I had read on a marriage message board previously about how it was possible to rent a Sybian in Las Vegas. The trip fell through but I asked my wife if that is something she would ever be interested in trying. History - I purchased this very recently and was quite unsure if it was a fake or not with the many many MANY models floating around Amazon. But when it arrived I was relieved that it was not. And it was HUGE. But it did what it said it did quite well and this is a good price for such a fantastic model. From what the official website says I think the reason people are saying it's not as powerful is they don't feel vibrations in the handle anymore. The company reinforced the handle so more vibrations would go out on the head, not the handle. So that may be the reason for this. But this thing does work great and unless you want a old stock one or a *shivers* used one I don't think your going to find the old models around anymore.I'm not sure if it will post or not but this is the official Hitachi webpage.
