The best deal
Omggggg this was a great find. I have made sooo much from it. I did let it soak longer, I would suggest that. Make sure you rise it really good. I blended it with fruit and coconut water.

Smells like plastic
Very still when I open the bag. Even after soaking it in water it still has shard texture and waxy taste.

Taste and smells like plastic
I wanted to try this online brand of sea moss since I could not make it to the shop I usually go to for my seamoss. This brand doesn’t smell or taste like real sea moss. There is no sea smell like the usual. It actually smells and tastes like plastic wax. Plastic has a very distinctive toxic smell and I definitely need a refund. It’s poison!

This sea moss is harvested in the Caribbean in the waters of St. Lucia.
This sea moss is harvested in the Caribbean in the waters of St. Lucia. My PERSONAL experience:I have been consuming sea moss for over 6 months. I started using it after telling my daughter I saw it on Amazon. I knew nothing about it at the time. She informed me her coworkers were into consuming it. We started researching it and decided we wanted to try it. What I liked best about the idea of consuming it is that I am unable to consume vitamins because they make me sick. This was a way to add vitamins to my diet. There are also other benefits of sea moss like helping digestion. FOR ME, I have much less digestive issues since I have started using it.6+ months later from my initial sea moss try out, I am still consuming it.How I make gel:I read and read about how to prepare sea moss. This is how I do it. I measure out .5 ounces. I use FILTERED water. I rinse the sea moss a few times. I cover the sea moss with FILTERED water in a 8 cup bowl. I cover it and place it in the fridge overnight. I learned not to let it sit out on the counter while rehydrating. It starts getting fishy tasting and smelling. The next morning I drain the moss. I rinse it one more time with FILTERED water. I place it in my heavy duty blender. I add a little more than a cup of water. Next I blend it. My first time I made it I didn't blend it long enough and it was kind of chunky. Since then I learned the longer I blend it, the better it is. It will make a gel.To use it:I started out with about a 1/2 tablespoon. Now I use a full tablespoon. I can't just swallow the tablespoon of gel down by itself. I can't get pass the texture even after all these months. Instead, the easiest way is tossing it in a shake. I can't taste it or feel it at all. My other go to way is in a bowl of oatmeal. This works very well also.In making this sea moss, I found it very good quality. It is all a pale yellow. It is dried very well. It isn't overwhelmingly encrusted in salt like some. It has a light ocean smell (not fishy) when I open the bag. In rehydrating it, I smelled no fishiness. In making the gel, when I took off the lid of my blender, I smelled NO fishy smell. In using it, there is NO flavor. This seems to be a good quality sea moss. I am happy with it and will continue to use it.

Interesting....
I have never tried Irish Sea Moss before. Actually, I didn't even know it was a thing but then someone mentioned it helped with digestive inflammation issues and I have diverticulitis so I thought, why not? I've tried a bunch of other things so one more can't hurt. I received it and then kind of stood there looking at it because I had no idea what to do with it. Then I read the directions. Simple enough. Rinse, soak, blend, drink. Only problem is I didn't really like it that way. Then I read some of the other reviews where people mixed it in salads and such. Unfortunately, I can't eat salad because my diverticulitis doesn't care for it at the moment so that's out. Then I saw people put it in smoothies. I've never really been much of a smoothie person but I had planned on trying a few out so now was my chance. I found a couple recipes that contained ingredients I liked and added this after soaking it. Much better. Irish Sea Moss doesn't have that strong of a flavor to overpower anything so I didn't really notice it. I had no sensitivity to it. The bag is a bit on the pricey side but you don't need much so the amount will last me quite awhile. It's too soon to say if it's aided in my diverticulitis at all but it didn't flare it up either so that's good. I'm not sure I'm a smoothie every day kind of person but I could see myself making them more often with this.
