Way better than my old Kenmore Canister vacuum. Great suction. The light really does help to see way more dust bunnies!

After comparing different models, I chose this one to replace the old Bissel Pet lift away. Quick and easy to put together out of the box. Turned it on and did the area rug by the door. Like everyone else, I was amazed at the amount of dirt it pulled up! I had no idea... Next did the kitchen floor (hard surface) and it came out "barefoot clean." I love the way the exhaust is channeled up so it doesn't scatter sand and dog hair before it can grab it. OH WINNER! Just come within 3 or so inches of a fluff of doghair and it jumps right into the vacuum. On to bedroom #1. Wow! The amount of dirt and hair that came up was amazing and the carpet fibers stood up for the first time in a while. I was planning on replacing it... It almost looks new again. Ditto bedroom #2, except when I got behind the bed. Oh here's where the Great Pyrenees has been sneaking a nap. Owners of large hairy breeds laugh at "normal" dog owners. You don't know dog hair until a Gr Pyr, Newfoundland, St. Bernard, etc. "blows coat!" When it comes to clogging up a vac, the dog wins every time. The "hair wrap" technology worked 95% of the time. Got a big hair wrap behind the bed but it was super easy to cut out and remove. No "effort" at all. All in all I'm dancing with joy over it. Such a huge relief!The very fact that this vac survived without a whimper for the first 3 hours in this house was amazing. It had been 2 weeks since I ran one. Even the dogs looked at me as if to say "About time Mom. This is nice now." This vac was easy to push around and my back did not hurt when I finished. I call it a "land shark" that eats dirt and hair at an amazing rate. I've always preferred a cannister vac to an upright and this baby is BOTH. No more hairballs under the bed, the china cabinet and best of all, in the "kick space" under the edge of the kitchen cabinets. I won't have to crawl around with bucket and sponge to get every last hair under there. The low profile head goes EVERYWHERE to grab that dirt and hair. The breakdown of the parts for cleaning out is wonderful too. BOTH ends of the dust cup open to remove wayward hair balls. Amazing!This vac was money well spent so far and dare I say it is "Doggie approved." I hope it can survive us for a very long time. I'd like to give it 10 stars based on the initial clean-up around here...

Ease of use and maintenence as well as great suction power. This is my second Shark Rotator LiftAway. I cannot say enough good about this vacuum. The dust cup is wider and has a slightly larger capacity. The on/off control switch is on the top wand and is easier to clean any corner than when the switch was on the vacuum body. The Liftaway feature makes vacuuming under furniture so easy. The attachments and vacuum are well designed. The final result is visually pleasing, and our home is so much healthy with a clean dust free and pet hair free environment.

Works better than our Dyson it replaced.

Not like in the photos. No lift off like description. Doesn't seem to be the same model as photo, can't go underneath items like photo as it is not a powered lift off like it is being sold as. Not happy with this purchase.
