Bamboo Tong, 12"

A badass pair of bamboo tongs! If you want something besides metal or silicone, these are a good option. They clean well, are long enough, safe, nonstick, and thick/durable enough to lick up whole steaks. I use them in the kitchen only, I wouldn't use them for a grill or pit. Do what you want, you're an adult.

These can break easily over time.

I like that these tongs are made of bamboo that they’re gentle on my pans and look nice too. But they’re a bit hard to use since you need to squeeze pretty hard to grab food. They work fine once you get used to them, just not as easy to handle as metal ones…

For me, these tongs are just OK. They are made from wood, so they achieve their intended purpose of not scratching my teflon coated pans. However, they are unwieldy compared to the metal tongs I intended to replace with them. Compared to the metal tongs, the tips of the wooden tongs are thicker, and it takes more force to close them, so I definitely don't get the same level of precision handling for the food I am cooking. Also, even though these tongs are the same length as my metal tongs, they feel shorter, because I have to hold them closer to the tips than on the metal tongs. Good luck handling cooked fish with these.

Works good, just what I wanted

I threw these in the trash after I tried to use them many times. My hands nor my husband's were strong enough to use these to pick up anything with them. It is extremely difficult to press them together in order to pick up anything.

My daughter was looking for a pair of tongs that weren't made with silicone at the end but it had to be sturdy. So far these have been very sturdy and my daughter loves them.

However, with practice and adaptability, it is still possible to work around this constraint. Also, I purchased other wooden tongs from other stores and they seem to all have this same issue. I use these tongs to grab hot items out of the toaster, to flip chicken filets on the stovetop, to toss salads, for frying up fish filets…pretty much everything! I love these tongs and highly recommend them!
