Great option
I'm more of a traditionalist so this was the way to go for me. Had a smartwatch for 3 months and sold it, I've already had this one 6, so I'm really happy with having the look of an analog and the benefits of a smartwatch.

Really couldn't ask for more technology vs. fashion
Very impressed. Gives me all the things I want in an eye catching watch and has secret smart features. Wish the Bluetooth distance was bit better. I lose connection after 15 feet or I turn a corner. If my phone is with me works flawles. It's pretty cool once you get used to it.

Can't find my internet connection to finish adding the watch to the app's device list.
[edit one day later] so it must have been a problem on the Diesel servers. This morning the app was able to access their servers. There was a big outage at one of the cloud providers yesterday so wonder if Diesel hosts their servers there? Anyhow this review went from 2 stars to 3 as now the watch should at least function. Shall see how it compares to my fitbit statistics.---previous review---I have to say out of the box this watch is gorgeous. Large manly, man rugged looking watch. But that is about where it ended for me.This came to me through the Amazon Vine program. I'm running on a Google Pixel XL Android 7.1.1 and on Project Fi. Downloaded the app from the Google play store. Fired it up and followed instructions to pair the watch. The app finds the watch but that is where the experience ends for me. I then get a message that says "Network Connection Needed - You need to be connected to the Internet to continue. Try connecting to a WiFi network or turning off Airplane Mode." Huh? My phone has an internet connection. I can fire up any of my other apps and connect to their services so I know I have an Internet connection.I've tried every incantation possible. I've disabled mobile data and turned on WiFi only. I disabled WiFi and mobile data only. I've run with both WiFi and mobile data available and nothing works. It keeps coming back to the same message. So I have to assume this is some problem on the Diesel servers. So for now this will sit on my desk and I'll try over the next few days to get it to add the device to the app. I'm going to leave a comment at the Google Play store in case the devs know something to fix this.

This watch is spectacular, great looking, the "smart" ability is more stable than other hybrids I own.

Great Over-sized Techno Watch for Late-Teens
My teenage son loves this watch--it has an over-sized face which seems to be very popular with older teenagers (maybe it's the retro look?). Also, it has the techno geek angle of being able to hook it up with its own app. Beautiful watch
