WADEO Digital Thermostat Controller Kit Replacement Part for Traeger Wood Pellet Grills, Thermostat Controller Board with RTD Temperature Probe Sensor and Hot Rod Ignitor

Put this on a free pit boss that wasn't well maintained the original controller blew out a section of the circuit board and made the grill run away and ended up getting so hot from burning grease it popped the paint off.I cleaned it up and tested the fan and auger so decided to pull the trigger on this kit to replace everything else it took about 15mins to change the parts out (did have to notch the top shelf bracket to clear the temp probe it was longer than the original) test fired and everything was fine there are only 5 p settings on this controller and default was on 5 so need to set it lower from the start I found setting 2 seems to be the sweet spot.Been using it for a month now and we'll over a dozen cooks even a couple of for long periods 6-15 hrs with no issues the hotrod is working just fine I was wondering being some people said there's quit but mine lights everytime.This temp control isn't a PID of course so it will have it's quirks and on average it reads and runs about 10 deg lower than actual grill temp it kind of depends on the temp you have it set for it will swing a bit more at times.But for the money it does the job of reviving an old grill and it's still a step up from the original the old one didn't have a shutdown function or on off switch.Update over a year later now and many cooks through all seasons everything is still working as it should only thing I've done is play with the p setting depending on the weather all in all still does the job.

I installed this after a windstorm knocked over my Traeger and broke the knob. It was fairly easy to replace. I only needed a couple of screwdrivers. It was more difficult to empty the pellets than to replace the part.

Good product. Perfect fit on my 10yr old Treager Model# BBQ07C.NO INSTRUCTIONS WHATSOEVER! Wires were color coded to my grill tho, which made install a piece of cake. Comes with a chrome button. Had to research to find out what it was for. Button has different settings: Lower number is for higher temp. Puts out more pellets less smoke.Higher number for more smoke, less heat. Haven't tested that function yet. I set mine to 3 and works fine. Will have to experiment more to use other settings. 4 stars because of no instructions.

piece of junk. did not work as it kept the traeger at the highest setting no matter what temperature I set it too. flame cup caught on fire because there were so many pellets being pushed through. returned and bough OEM direct from traeger. more expensive but it works perfectly
