This is not a travel umbrella, travel umbrella implies this is small and lightweight which this is neither. It is heavy and bulky and will not fit into a handbag unless you have a massive handbag. The strap that does it back up is virtually impossible it takes a lot of tugging I'm sure it will break. I have not used it in the wind or rain yet so cannot comment on how effective it is, the pattern is pretty and the handle feels nice.

Really quite heavy and much bigger than shown in pictures- however I will say that the structure does seem pretty sturdy. This I wouldnt mind if you could get it to pack down small enough to fit in the bag that is provided-it was far too tight and actually tore the bottom of the bag taking out FOR THE FIRST TIME. Design is lovely but unfortunately it's not finished particularly well. Will be returning.

I purchased this umbrella 2 years ago and it lasted me until now. However, the velcro fastening had broken/dissolved after about a year of using it and after turning inside out a couple of times in strong wind one arm of the canvas is now completely broken and the umbrella won't open and shut properly anymore. I won't be purchasing again as I have found the make unreliable - when I first ordered it, the umbrella was stained and I had to exchange it.

I am allergic to UV and bought this more for UV protection in the summer than for an umbrella. The outside is pretty but it has a black lining which spoils the effect. It would have got five stars if the lining had been a lighter colour.

Mary Poppins comes to mind when you try to pop the opening button, it is so strong you’re in danger of being airborne when it opens up !! It’s also very heavy to carry in your bag. I need a cheapo rubbish supermarket one that I can afford to replace each time it collapses. But it looks really nice and is well made but not for me.

Has been able to withstand British rain without damage! Good size and coverage and I love the button bc it makes me feel like a cool spy or something when I put it up lol

after a year the spoke snapped, tried under lift time warrant to get a replacement and was told it run out AFER 1 YEAR, wasn't happy. How trying to get a replacement from company as i brought it for the warrenty .love it, very pretty design. its a bit heaver than a normal compact umbrella and would love to have been able to get this with out the automatic open / close feature,but over all, very happy

At last, an umbrella that works, is stylish, easy to handle and fits into a handbag
