I've bought my share of sharpeners hoping each would be the one, and later thrown them out.. Stones work, but it takes time and you have to know what you're doing. I saw this one recommended by a you tube grilling champion who's won hundreds of contest (and I wish I could remember his name), so I thought I'd take a chance at a price point I have not explored for knife sharpeners. I'm so glad I did because this thing rocks! It's very easy, very quick, and it works exceptionally well. Now I'm just afraid it may someday wear out and I won't be able to find another...

I bought some F. Dick knives a couple years ago and haven't had the time to pick up the sharpener until here recently. And I am glad I did i could tell a difference immediately after sharpening one of my knives. Now I sharpen my whole families knives

Was skeptically initially when I was told about it. But having sharpened about all my knives ( including my pocket knives), I have to say I am impressed! Even my old dull butcher knife that I have had for over 20 years is so sharp that it can slice paper. I understand (from friends), that I am to sharpen my knives after each use, will do that to keep them sharp. Will recommend the product to others who are in the market for an easy to use, no hassle and with little to no damage to the knives (unlike electrical sharper) sharper.

I've been looking for a great sharpener for a long time. I saw that the Slap Yo Daddy BBQ guy uses this one on his sushi knives. It is really good. It super sharpens my Wusthof knives in about 3 strokes. It's so much better than their sharpener.It's easy to use and to store. I didn't use the mounting plate or suction cups.

Buy once, cry once. How much did you pay for that knife? Buy a quality sharpener for it! This is about as easy as it gets to keep a good edge. If you knock the edge off or chip it, you'll need more horsepower that this item. However, for day-to-day maintenance of cared for knives, this is a great product.

I bought this in the hopes that it will be able to provide a quick boost to my knives between re-sharpenings, oh boy was I disappointed.It took my knives from a working edge to completely dull in a few swipes, and it left the edge so uneven that it took forever to get them actually sharp again later.I cannot account for how many positive reviews this thing has, maybe I have abnormally high standards, but I can't imagine anyone being pleased by the level of dullness that this product produces.
